New Built Right UCA's

once again it is a uniball...so it is in there tight...wear and time is what you need. Teflon speeds it up. Mine is perfect. Keeps spraying the teflon.

I also had mine done at the shop by a professional tech.

 

Same here, I didn't do the install myself. I had a tech install it at my work. He used to work at Toyota.

 

That's right...i forgot where you work. Give it time. If it is a left and right squeak it is the Uniball...use Teflon. If it is a up and down squeak make sure the Joints have grease on them

 

Good input. It sounds more like a rubbing clunk, could be a squeak. It does it on up/down. I just don't want to over grease the bushings, I think they can bulge out or deform. Will have the whole set up looked over again just to recheck everything was put in right.

 

After 500 miles or so you should have everything re checked and aligned...that's what James told me.

 

That is a good idea for all work done to make sure the bolts are tight.

 

Thanks for all the input, it certainly is reassuring. Will keep spraying the teflon on the uniball and gonna give it time to set.

Just ordered my BR UCA's from the Truck Shop. I will let everyone know what I think as soon as I get them. I will definitely go hit the desert and wheel the shit out of them to make sure they hold up. Can't wait to get them.

Cool. I know a few other people that love them as well. Gonna say it again...get Dupnt Dry Teflon and that will help with the creaking.

Nothing yet but I have not been there for a couple of weeks. I will let you know if I hear anything.

I think that deal was the other way around. Lol Get your set ordered and then you can just reimburse me when I install yours.

 

It will be just a mid travel I believe. They are working on a Long Travel kit for the 2nd gens now.

 

dude. im gonna be all up in that. tell him haha. are they gonna have a special tw price for the first 5 lug customers too? tell him idealy i would want it to work with kings or icon. but idk how that whole dealio works. im just glad hes considering us lower beings with 5 lug tacos.

 

Not sure if he is gonna be doing a 5 lug LT or not. I will keep you posted
