New buy.

My beloved 2004 Tacoma failed NYS inspection yesterday. I found a 2007 ext cab on my first day looking. 220,000 miles but is very clean with clean reframe job and spent its life in southern penna. It drives great, a small downer is the automatic transmission which at 82 yrs I probably should give my old joints a little relief. My question is what should I look out for in this 2007 second gen truck. Thanks. FS

 

Rust, you said new frame which is great but I’d still look it over pretty good. Can you get it to a mechanic of your liking to put it on a lift for a better look?

 

Well don’t buy the first one you find for starters

You are just jumping in to the buying market, if there are trucks sitting there waiting to be bought they are overpriced or have an issue

 

Good advice for sure, I’d compare a few for sure. Also feel free to take pictures and post them on here for more opinions.
