Hi folks, I am trying to decide between the Sport Package or the Off road package. I am primarily intrested in handling on road. However, I am uncertian if the sport package handling really is significant. I like the features on the off road, but don't care for noise that the aggressive tires my have.

    Please post your comments!

    Thanks

Sport does ride a bit better on the road. The all terrain tires on the off road have stiffer sidewalls making them ride a bit rougher, not so much on the noise. I think the off road has a little stiffer suspension due to a different Bilstien shock also. If you don't need the locker then the Sport sounds like your better choice.

Actually, the springs on the Off Road make for a softer ride on the road. The Sport has a larger diameter sway bar, that keeps it more "flat" when cornering on road.

Thanks for the info, all is big help. Some of the sales documentation is not clear to me as to the details of the mechanicals. I like the Crome on the Off Road package.

20% tint, extang trifecta tonneau cover.
The off road has a locker in the rear. The sport has a LSD.

The ride difference is so subtle that you would probably not even notice it. The Off-Road suspension is less stiff, but the tires are, so it kind of cancel out.
Biggest difference for most people would be the Off-road has chrome bumper and grill and the Sport is color matched. I like color matched, but some prefer chrome.
