You still have two weeks left to buy ammo like a free American. Turner's is having a huge sale on ammo until then.

    back to bone stock.
There are new laws in other states that bother me more.

I own a lot of ammo already.

It does annoy me it’s darn near impossible to hunt with a .22. I just need more manufacturing to cone up with ammo choices.

Cuz it’s BS! The lower is what’s registered and the barrel determines the caliber (simplified) so while I wouldn’t be surprised to see some Commiefornian politicians be that stupid I guess they missed this exit to crazy town lol.

Still wanna see how they enforce that shit. Will they serialize casings and bust you if you have one that ain’t registered to you???
Serialize the powder and primer??? Bet most cops are just gonna flat out refuse to enforce this garbage

What about the people who hoarded ammo over the last few years and now have a stockpile !!!!!

They won't. It is illegal to bring ammo out of state though. UNLESS a relative living in those states comes to visit you and brings a few million rounds and gives them to you as a gift then that's 100% legal. I'm not kidding.

Thanks for posting this, it answers a lot of questions I had. I have a feeling that this law will lead to others and the eventually banning of certain types of ammunition, it's a slippery slope.

It’s going to lead towards a ban on all guns in California.

That will never happen especially abolishing the 2nd amendment

I like it. Nice to see California taking the lead yet again. As was pointed out the OP has the incorrect information. With the new law, I will walk into the store and walk out with all the ammo I can carry, just like it has been since the beginning of time. The only difference is that I add $1 to my purchase to help assure felons and the like are not arming their illegal guns. Cheap insurance and helpful to us responsible gun owners. Pretty well thought out.

I’m holding off on anything gun related until I depart the state in a few years.
