Got a new Leer camper for $60 from a guy on Craigslist. Cool dude who just wanted it gone, he got t-boned and it totaled his 1999 X-Cab. Although my truck is the hunter green color, that black does look half bad:cool:

Ignore the 225/75/15 size spare (TOO small compared to my 32's)

Thanks! Considering they go for about $1000-$1500 I think so!

    Here are some more...

The camper lights work and I wired them up so that when I shift into reverse those, the other back up lights and the stock light all come on! They put out a lot of light too! I am very pleased!

hell for $60 it could've been pink. Nothing some paint can't fix. Great score!

It looks good on there, even black. I'd leave it just as it is.

That's a great deal - congrats. The only tops I've seen anywhere near that price are beaten up old aluminum POS's on old farm trucks.

I actually made it out of 3/4" and 1" PVC pipe. The whole thing cost me under $20.00. It surprisingly holds up really well to trail beatings and since the photos I have placed my spare up there and it stays up there with a clip type thing I manufactured at work one day.

Hell, $60 bucks for a LEER, for that price Pink would look good.

cap looks sweet on there, I've always liked the look of caps that hold the same roof line as the cab rather than stepping up like so many you see on domestic trucks...

Anyone know what kind of weight/load capacity you can expect from a cap. My '01 extended cab came with a LEER camper shell and I'm looking into a couple of rooftop tent options from Overland but am not sure what I can expect to throw up there in terms of weight... Sorry probably should be a new thread...

Send an email to the manufacturer.

I know that a lot of people have RTTs, so I'm sure it's doable, i dont know if they fabbed extra support though.
