New Car Check List (getting it from dealership)

I'm in Texas and my salesman said all tow package trucks come with a 2" tow hitch and pin. The trailer ball is an extra that some dealers "throw in".

 

Good thread! It's easy to get excited and forget about some of this stuff. The one thing I would add is that if you're trading in your existing vehicle, REMOVE THE LICENSE PLATES! I learned the hard way about 10 years ago when I traded in my Silverado and didn't give it much thought - fast forward a month or two and I was receiving notifications for several hundred dollars worth of toll and parking violations from Louisiana and Arkansas. I wasn't liable for anything in the end, but it was a HUGE pain in the ass to resolve.

 

The contents of the (TO) package are:

F TO V6 Tow Package: Class IV Towing Receiver Hitch, ATF Cooler (Not Available on Manual Transmission), Engine Oil Cooler, Power Steering Cooler, 130-Amp Alternator, 4 & 7-Pin Connector w/Converter, and Trailer-Sway Control (TSC)

There is a Toyota Ball Mount and Ball you can purchase, but this is considered an accessory.
