Well, just for you. I reformatted my computer a couple months ago and so I don't have any pictures on my computer, all at home on the 'rents computer. I do have one though, I had to pull it off of my Myspace  of all things.

Why do people like the Mini, Miata or Lotus Elise? There is more to fun than just straight-line acceleration. The facsination with these cars is the handling ability. The FT-86 II will be the first Toyota-branded RWD car in a long time.

It's not even going to be a Toyota. Toyota is being stupid and rather than finally having an exciting car for the first time in awhile it's going to be sold as a Scion. This has been in development for awhile surprised it hasn't surfaced here before. It's being co-developed with Subaru they are releasing their own version as well which oddly enough will be solely RWD as well and not the usual AWD. Guess it could end up with an STi variant though.

Not sure what kind of weight and HP this will end up officially having so I don't know how it will stack up against a V6 Genesis.

As far as why people are into these cars, as mentioned, not all about straight line speed. Light, RWD, good power will make for a very fun package. This would be something to have more fun with on a normal track and not the drag strip. Although, obviously you don't need a V8 to go fast in a straight line either. Although a lot of the old timers still live by the false statement of "there's no replacement for displacement." Try telling that to the 3.8L GTR owner as he rips of a 2.9 second run to 60 lol.

I kinda wonder if Toyota had lost its RWD sports car design mojo after the Supra was discontinued. I mean, even the LF-A's engine is built by Yamaha...
