    QUOTE=Janster;2576647]Have you considered an Acura?

    Acura MDX or RDX

Cheaper - yes. Less expensive to maintain - yes. Save some $$ and take more trips and buy her more clothes. ;)

My husband has a 2006 MDX. Or how about a 4Runner?[/QUOTE]

Haha clothes and those Christian Louboutin shoes that she has 6 pair of.

My buddy had a 2006 Land Rover LR3 he bought new. He had a lot of trouble with it. And it wasn’t just one thing but a number of different problems that would come up. He traded for a RX 350 last year. It drove great and everything but either Range Rovers are crap or he had a lemon. I think the worst problem he had was the transmission wouldn't shift out of second one day. Of course it was out of warranty.

Not knocking your buddys LR3 but I always think of the LR's being junk. Kinda like the Audi TT...they are the "red head step child" of Audis lineup. Otherwie Audi makes a nice whip!!

For a lease I'd get the porsche it's pretty sweet. For a purchase I'd go with a 4runner or highlander. But The land rovers are really nice (when they work)

Rather not lease. Just something about paying to use a car I gotta return and a limit on miles I can drive.

    Too many mods to list
Hmmm. If its for the wife id stay away from the Infinity. The ride is somewhat harsh because they want that "sport ride and feel". To be honest, its not all it could be. I almost had one, im glad I didnt.

I know its not on your list, but the X5 from BMW is a really really really good SUV. Rides super comfortable and has ridiculous power when you need it.

The Cayenne is nice, but I would not get it unless im getting the Twin Turbo model... dunno... just me.

I'd never ever buy a Land Rover or a Range Rover, everyone I've know that has owned one has had huge repair bills. If it were my choice I'd go with the Infinity. My wife has an MDX and she loves it. It's 2 years old and it's been trouble free so far but then again it better be for that price.

Yea the X5 is nice but to me they are kinda plain on the inside. Which I think most BMW's are. But they do ride very comfortable. We are going today to the Porsche dealer to drive the Caynne and the Infiniti (they sell both). No way possible Ill buy her a v6 Cayenne. Gonna be v8, I hear really good things about the GTS but dont think the new style has a GTS.

Just between us....im hoping she gets a SUV I can add some mods to :D
But whatever she gets I already put my foot down and told her shes getting 22'' wheels and new tires.

Sounds like you need to go to Europe and enjoy the fruits of your labor - together. :D

Or how about....you give her your car and buy yourself a Z06 Corvette.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Is a Toyota Land Cruiser out of the question? Or even a Sequoia?

land rovers are horrible in repair costs and depreciation. Porsche is going to be expensive...I'd look at a Merc G500 if you're going to drop that much cheddar.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .

    (1) Infiniti FX50

    (2) Porsche Cayenne (You know that it is being discontinued ??)

    (3) Range Rover HSE (At the VERY BOTTOM of the list - below a Yugo )

Several friends have had their (one & only Range Rovers) and will never buy another one ... Just my 2 cents ... :D

    Im getting there......
just going to say LR3 s are not analogous to Range Rovers. Ranger Rovers are extremely high quality much more than porches. I have experience with all 3 cars listed. My mother had the large Porche Cayenne S it was a joke way expensive to maintain and very low quality build. She traded for a volvo XC 90. My father has a Range Rover HSE Autobiogrpahy series. It is an amazing quality product and he has had no problems and it is an 2010 with 20,000 miles. I have a 2009 Range Rover HSE Supercharged and I have only had one problem with the timing belt which was serviced under the standard Land Rover Warranty. My aunt has a 2011 Infiniti FX35 Premium that is extremely nice with heated front and rear seats etc.

The Range Rover is slightly Pricier than the Infiniti, but boasts higher material and build quality. However the Infinity is smaller and has better handling than the Range Rover. My supercharged Range and the Infiniti are comparable in speed.

If your concerned about agility however I would look also at the Range Rover Sport compared to the Infiniti

Hope this helps.... sorry for length:eek:
