    Just enough, and never enough
sometimes the gun chatter on this site makes me think of this video http://youtube.com/watch?v=zepAp5qQiDw, well with the volume off at least. i just threw tactical grips on my rem 870 looks mmmmmm. I would love an CheyTac M200 .408 and i have a place to shoot it too don't think i can get one in Cali though. Like i have said many times on this site i hate California laws. this is sooooo off topic:rolleyes: whatever this thread is a runaway train by now.

Sure, didn't you know 5 extra rnds. = assault weapon in CA.

I'm going on a bike trip in Aug. that will take me into the land of ten. I'm considering taking a Marlin lever action carbine and a six rnd. revolver in 44 mag. for this very reason. Bear deterrent while camping in MT. and two legged predator legal? in CA.. God forbid if the lever action did hold 11 rnds. in the tube magazine then it would be considered a class III machine gun in CA.

But they keep voting the Boxer's and Fienstein's in?

welcome to the Alliance tigerfan! My Glock 23 has the 13 rnd police mags and they apparently are illegal for anyone to own other than law enforcement, since they are a true double stack. at least thats what a cop in columbia told me.

What kind of holster do you guys recommend for somebody who ain't as skinny as most. I'm about 5' 9" and about 200 lbs. I would like to carry a mid size Glock, but I need a comfortable holster.

Concealed: Don Hume. I've had really good experiences with their stuff on other CC guns - very high quality on the 3 I own from them and very reasonable in price ($30-$50 for leather holsters compared to about $75 for something similar from Galco). It's a small company, so you might have to wait a while to get it (2-4 weeks is typical for the ones I've ordered, but I'm left-handed), but its well worth the wait. (www.donhume.com)

Non-concealed: I really like Fobus. Pretty good retention system (grips around the trigger guard) and extremely easy to draw. I think they might make some holsters for concealed carry as well, but I'm not sure. (www.fobusholster.com)

Since the Brady bill expired your mags are legal except in CA and a few others. I think your legal in SC.

That's correct...my understanding is that anything up to 30 is just fine in SC. Above 30, for some reason, the sellers want to document who you are, etc.

Alright, I'll check those out. I'm left-handed too. I get messed with at the range all the time, and practicing tactical room clearings, but I can get at angles most others can't.

It is illegal for you to bring them into the state. If you are already here and have them you can keep them but not sell them.
AZ is just a short drive though.
I've got mags form guns I don't own yet.;)
What Idiot ever determined that 12 was deadlier than 10?
I can go through 3 - 10's faster than some can go through 1- 12.:D
