I've got the G-27. Very small and weighs only 27 ounces with full mag and one in the chamber.
I use 180gr sxt and it is very managable. Does start to sting a little after 50 rounds though. Tried some corbon 135 and other lighter higher velocity rounds and they are painfull to shoot, but you only SHOULD only need a couple.;)

thats what i love about the g22...ive shot like 300 rounds in one session at the range and i dont even feel any cramping or soreness

i just like the idea of a much smaller version

and that sxt is exactly was stays in mine at all times...15+1 and 2 spare mags :D

One of my friends from my IPSC/USPSA matches will bring his G-27 out for the day occasionally just to prove it can be done.
6 stages over 200+ rounds with some distance shots as well as up close and personal. He always does pretty damn good with it.
My hands hurt just watching him.

I will tell you something about a .380. I watched a video of a law enforcement officer getting shot with a .380 and he had shot the suspect with a .357 magnum 7 times. The result the .380 bullet bounced around and hit the officer in the heart killing him.

had a guy open up on our drug guys as they raided his house...he had a .357...hit one officer in the arm...from the floor the officer unloaded 16 rounds of 180gr .40 Ranger SXT into the guys center mass and still didnt drop him...took 2 headshots from another officer to drop him

had that .380 round been a 1/4 inch off the officer mightve lived

    shot placement is key

She is a tiny little thing, she is just under 5'3" and rather small....not to mention the fact that you are a guy, and even if your not that big (as you say), your ratio of upper body strength is still probably better than hers. The nice thing for her is that a full size 1911s weight helps her out actually in terms of absorbing recoil.

Ummmm....read my name and title and notice the not a guy part? :) LOL! I'm 5' 7" and about 130 pounds--at the time I had the Moss I was about 118 pounds. Your wife does sound a bit smaller, but she probably has more upper body strength than I do LOL!

Heard about that in the news...bad situation, no doubt.

Did they confirm that the "suspect" was doped up, or was he just impervious to pain and large quantities of his own blood leaking out?

    Will this myth never end?
A good shoot is a good shoot, end.
A bad shoot is a bad shoot.

Cite me a case, or do shut up. With all due respect.
You can`t do it because there is none. I have heard this myth for 50 years. Enough, I say.

way too freaking huge to carry. my room mate has one and it is great for carrying in the car but not anywhere near small enough to conceal
