    I have the same truck, but I don’t think it has that thing...on left side of steering wheel?

    It is a dealer installed alarm system. They probably charged you for that. I asked them to remove this alarm system when I bought the car otherwise they would have charged me $695. They didn't even remove the device due to the labor cost I think. They cut the wire and left the piece.

    Yes that's what I think too, there is nothing on my window sticker and on the invoice that there is a alarm system nor did they bill me for it. The owners manual does say everything is being recorded, speed, breaking accelerating etc. There is that button on the bottom and it does nothing when I push it, and on the inside is a chip where I thought it look like a speaker but is not its holding a chip of some sort.
