Ok one of the things that I immediately noticed when I bought my tacoma the other week was that it did not have a center console.
My first mod was to get a center console. Not just any center console would do though.
I wanted one that was high enough to rest my elbow on. So with a lot of calculations and measuring this is what I came up with.......
    1. NO CENTER CONSOLE
    [IMG]

    2. CENTER CONSOLE

    3. NEW CENTER CONSOLE IN TACOMA

I know it seems that the console is a bit LARGE. It was by design but it might be a bit too big. I haven't decided yet (my elbow definately likes it). One thing is for sure it holds a BIG GULP just fine!

I like the OEM one fairly well bc its got that storage compartment under the console when you fold it back, also the fact that it folds back.

It is a Wolf Automotive Econo minivan console and I got it from Truckaddons.com
I will never order anything from them again though. Worst customer service ever. :(

That's only on the 01-04; but yes, I agree...very good storage design.

To the OP, you could just go to a junk yard and pick up an OEM console. How come your truck didn't come with one? Did the previous owner add the buckets in place of a bench seat? Just curious.

I wanted a console with massive amounts of room, large cup holders and in a position where I can easily lay my arm, which is what I got with this console. Couldn't get that with the Toyota one.
I don't know why the truck didn't have a console in it when I bought it.

Being able to comfortably rest your arm is important, especially on long drives. Looks good bro!

nasty dent on driver's side bed panel, shabby seats, cigarette burned interior roof, missing berf bar pad, cracked rain visor, removed hood scoop, unmentionable stain on back bench?
looks nice, always could use to rest the old elbow now and then. of course one could that contraption the that sylvester stallone had in his rig in "Over the Top":yay: Although i do dig the "hidden compartment" in our trucks it is fairly obvious and the first palce the local authorities look in. I prefer my "hidden compartment" under the bed, never even been found once.
