Is the 4G even a real feature? Doesn't everyone have a 4G phone that can become a WiFi hotspot anyways? I'm pretty sure data from the phone company will cost a hell of a lot less than OnStar data.

Didn't OnStar use to charge something like 1000x more for phone minutes by satellite as everyone else? I can't see GM selling data at a loss so I'd guess the OnStar data will cost a fuckton compared to just sharing your phone data.

we should all test drive the colorado…just to see what kind of truck it is.

too bad we only have one chevy dealer on this island…and its on the other side…and, it is called Deluz Big Island Toyota/Chevrolet. For a short time, we had no chevy dealers and warranty work was being sent to independent shops.

I plan to test drive the new Collie (or better yet rent one for a couple of days and wheel it) when they become available.

People drive Chevys in Hawaii? Isn't the island ~50% Japanese? :D

I will be test driving one with the wife, if we can get it for much cheaper than a 4Runner with nearly as tame a ride then it'll get serious consideration as our next new vehicle.

hah theres still a good amount of Chevys. One of my good friends family is a very very die hard Chevy family, yet they mostly drive toyotas and hondas. lol
my boss buys a chevy express every 3 years, he said thats the life span of those things. The last one had a little over 170k and trans went out, month later rear end went out. Funny thing is, he had original spark plugs but religiously changed his oil every 3500-4k miles.

I grew up with Fords and toyotas. I have a ton of Fords, but I have more toyotas than that. I mostly drive a toyota and nissan every day.

A good friend of mine(who also owned a tacoma), was thinking of getting a new colorado but they don't offer them here yet and he has to go to the other side of the island. His reasoning, it'll probably be cheaper than a new tacoma out the door. I told him its the same dealership…same dealership my boss has to take a day off of work to go do some warranty work for a handle bar to be installed on his dash and it took them 3 days to change the steering column, since the key slipped out all the time.

I would love to hear others opinions/review from those who do own a tacoma and test drive the new colorado.

I actually noticed that about the seats in the Traverse that I drive for work. They have a weird edge on them. I got used to them and they softened up over time.

If the Colorado is similar to a Traverse I probably won't be interested in one for our family. I don't like the seats or the road feel of the Traverse. We'd already ruled almost all of the compact SUV's out of our new vehicle search.

Well that didn't take long! GM has told all dealers to stop selling the new models. The Air Bag system is wired incorrectly.

It now deploys all airbags the moment you start the truck. They call it a new GM exclusive safety feature. If you can't drive it, then it can't light on fire, fail to deploy the airbags in a collison, etc etc :D

The minute you think GM might be onto something with a new product...stuff like this happens. Oops.
