Sorry missed your edit. Yes they are but not known for stellar steering. Drive a Miata and an s2k back to back and you feel the benefits of HPS.

More garish-looking paint schemes for SEMA:

And apparently the front airdam is secured with some 50 screws, so it is not as convenient to remove as once thought.

What do you mean only matches?

    4WD V6 Auto's

    Tacoma 16/21 - 18 combined
    Colorado 17/24 - 20 combined

This is with ~70 more horsepower and carrying ~300 more pounds of weight around.

I'd say overall that's a pretty good accomplishment, over 10% improvement over the Tacoma.

i dont remember anything saying combined. i expected higher. everybody has different expectations. i owned a chevy truck, my brother owns one now. great trucks. i will most likely buy toyota in the future, more dependable. i get 18mpg in my 2010, but i did not buy it for the mpg.

Bed divider can be installed in only 3 positions, because the Chevy bed lacks a rail system:

GM used to advertise a factory spray-in bedliner that in my opinion is better than the plastic drop-in one. Maybe it's shitty dealer politics at work - a dealer can sell the drop-in accessory bedliner at spare-parts profit margins.

I'm sure a bedliner is a nice dealer option. :)

I think they still offer this, no? I know all the new trucks at work come factory with spray in liners, it's right on the order sheets.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Have to agree with you, I daily drive a jetta wagon that averaging 40mpg even with LA traffic, wife just got a 328 diesel wagon that awd and averaging 42 mpg on the first 3 tanks! Really loving the German engineering but not ready to let go of the taco just yet

I know this sounds stupid but they could have put the LS V8 in it and it would have gotten even better gas mileage. The Silverado with the V8 does fairly well on gas considering its size. I wonder what the price difference would be to build the two models including R&D for developing the new V6. The V8 would have surely fit, better gas mileage due to better torque and lower gearing, streamline production, and holy shit they would sell like hotcakes!

They do still offer it. I went to their website and did the build/price thing and saw it offered.

I like the composite bed in the tacoma but I think if I did it again I'd like a composite bed WITH a spray in bed liner simply for the traction so stuff doesn't slide around.

Yep, and it's the better option. However, of the two trucks I've seen on dealer's lots, one a fully-optioned Canyon and the other a base-model Colorado, neither had the spray-in liner. I suspect some dealers may be purposefully not ordering the factory spray-in liner in hopes they can sell a dealer-installed liner at higher profit margin.

If they do that's a fail IMHO. One of the reasons the truck companies started to spray boxes at factory was to claim some of those dollars that usually go to the aftermarket (Linex, Rhino, Armirillo, etc). To be honest the aftermarket stuff is better, our old trucks we had bedlined ourselves hold up way better than factory bedlining, but for tax purposes it's easier to have the truck come with the bedliner. I'd never take a truck with a painted bed home without having it sprayed, even if the dealer has to refund me on his POS drop in bedliner.
