I think the Ridgeline is no longer in production. The number they sold in January 2015 is probably 2014 models left over.

When was the Colorado TDI available to buy in the US?
Wish Toyota would hurry up and build one too.
Any details on what traction controls are being used on the Colorado TDI, same as the taco?

I did not know that lol. Something tells me I don't want a truck that comes off the same line as a hutterite van. Those things blow up on the Colonies nearly every day.

A TDI Colorado would be a copyright infringement :D. TDI is a VW trademark. The Diesel version of the Colorado is due to come out as a 2016 model. Our local GM dealer told us the plan at one time was to have a few Diesels out for this spring but now GM, in Canada at least, has decided to hold off until next fall. Toyota will not be putting a Diesel in the Tacoma unless the enviromental regulations stabilise and the Diesel becomes more competitive after the extra cost of the emissions system. Those aren't my words, those are right from a Toyota engineer who worked on designing the new Tacoma.

As for Traction controls I'm not sure what you're looking for as an answer? The Colorado comes with an optional limited slip rear differential, 4WD, traction control (not ATRAC as I understand it), and VSC. That's plenty enough to get you to a lot of places with the right tires and that air dam removed. There is a ZR-2 concept truck that comes with a locking rear differential but it's just a concept for now with no firm commitment from GM to produce the truck.

The LT is the bottom line trim? I sat in a Canyon SLT (top trim) and it blows away my Tacoma. Even the Tacoma Limited is not even close. Maybe the new 2016 will be better, but for now there is no contest.

    Hey Jim,

Yeah, I thought that may be the case with the lower trim level. I was disappointed they didn't bring their top of the line trucks to the show. I guess they didn't have any available. Overall, I was just personally disappointed in the GM twins. Nothing really wowed me, at least not the ones I saw in person. I'm anxious to see the '16 Tacoma in person. I doubt I would trade in my '13. I don't think financially it would make sense. But you never know.

On another note, I did a purely unscientific study on a round trip to Florida and back from Virginia Beach. I did not see one new Colorado or Canyon anywhere. I'm sure I could have missed some, but didn't see them on the road or any of our stops along the way. Kind of curious.

They're still just slowly trickling into dealerships. Even the bigger ones only have a few on hand at most. All my local dealer had was a stripped POS work truck Colorado and the loaded Canyon I ended up leasing. I live in a town of about 50,000 and I still have not seen another one on the road here.

I'll be honest, despite the similarities, I think this truck looks flat-out silly.

    My opinion, of course :)

It's interesting that the Colorado/Canyon has been designed with a lot of rake in the bodywork. i.e. It isn't simply due to higher suspension lift in the rear. Notice how the beltline rises up toward the rear compared to the wheel arches. That's why it looks ugly. It's as if one designer designed the truck to look brawny, with oversized fender flares, then another designer came in and attempted to make the truck "sporty" with sedan styling tricks. Knowing how disorganized GM is, maybe that's what actually happened.

Not the ONLY why though. Just one of them.

I find the 4X4 badging on the side of the bed of the Canyons extremely cheesy. The SLT I drove by today at the GM dealership had it. I must say I like most bedside decals but that plastic one would be the first thing I'd tear off. It looks like a kid who bought a 2 wheel drive went by Wal-Mart and stuck a generic chrome 4X4 badge on his truck to trick the bitches into thinking he has 4WD .

Who wanted a diesel mid size with a 6-speed manual?
    I'll just leave this here...

    http://www.sulphurdailynews.com/article/20141205/BLOGS/312059968/0/news

The concept is mated to an automatic, but what makes this prospect more interesting is the comment from GM's Mark Reuss in an interview with Motor Trend:

"By the way, you haven't tested the baby Duramax," Reuss said, "and you're going to really like that."

Edward Loh from Motor Trend responded that automotive journalists were predisposed to liking diesels and manuals.

Reuss shot back: "We might check all those boxes." - See more at: http://www.sulphurdailynews.com/article/20141205/BLOGS/312059968/0/news#sthash.oijN9fuW.dpuf

The back end of this truck does look pretty janky. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking, it makes the bed angle up so high, and make the bed look so deep. Even with a aftermarket lift with the truck leveled out, I don't know that you could even make the truck look good. On top of all that, I can't believe they made a "Denali" version. Midsize trucks are already pricey enough.

Only due to gas mileage numbers for the 31's. The ZR2 was a great concept truck, and should have been made IMO.

^^^ I think GM could be approaching financial trouble, and are just trying to save some coin from massive recalls and lawsuits. If Ford follows suit, then I might believe they are doing it for other reasons.

Lo and behold there will be a chassis-cab model, available in 4x2 V6 access cab only. The jumpseats are also removed:
