Seems to me there are a lot of people in this 3rd gen group tugging on each other’s wangs and trying to convince one another that the current generation is a great truck when in reality it’s been plagued with customer complaints and issues which were handled poorly by Toyota. How many people had trucks recalled for leaking diffs and had dealers holding on to their truck for months on end. It’s an Ok truck but don’t piss on my head and tell me it’s raining!

To be fair too, culture has changed in that time frame as well. Alot more older adults are using the internet and participating now. Alot more info is being openly shared, people are upgrading their cell phones and getting internet etc... Not saying there isn't at all an increase of interest, but technological demographics also help boost those numbers.

Also the VW buyback and the fact that street racing/hondas with wings/fastnfurious sorta went cold, people have jumped that trend train of being way too fast and way too furious, and have jumped hard on the truck thing. As is evidenced by installing certain wheels and the obsession with putting as many turbos on as many things.

I work at a GM dealer and this is so true. They don’t communicate at all. That “company” makes my job way harder than it should be.

This thread being “sub-merged” is a conspiracy to quell a prison riot. Which happens in an hour coincidentally so everyone tuck up them shanks.

I don't want to derail a good brand bashing, but keep in mind GM uses Takata airbags just like Toyota and just about everyone else. So who knows, this sort of thing could happen to just about any brand or model. Maybe GM specs something cheaper, maybe it's just fluke or maybe it's just bad luck getting bad parts from a supplier. That, of course, has *never* happened to Toyota. Well, except it did with Dana and Tacoma frames.
