Really looking forward to this truck.

Hopefully we'll have all finalized information available to us late summer. EPA estimates on the 2 gas engines will probably be in around August. I would not expect EPA estimates to be out on the diesel version until next year ('15).

I drive about 45,000 miles a year. 2012 was 45,000, 2013 was 39,000. I'm not interested in the diesel but the more efficient gas engines have my attention. Right now I average about 22 MPG...if I could bump that to 25 mpg that would be huge yearly savings for me.

^Indeed. Compared to the Amarok it's ugly.

    I like the Amarok.

I feel like Toyota will announce the third gen sometime between now and late 2015

I'd rather have the new gm than the amarok. But the new ones at hideous unless you the fancy packages.

I think the white looks good.

    Amarok is a handsome truck,

That white one is ugly! But seeing them in person is the only way to tell.

It will look better lifted with bigger tires. Long bed looks fuggly low to the ground with street tires, like most trucks. I've seen a lot of lifted Amaroks in Mexico and they look great, night and day. I also drove one when they first came out, drives nothing like a truck, more like a euro sedan. Very impressive feel for a truck, no loose steering wheel.

I was at a bike event near GM's proving grounds in Milford, and there was a white extended cab 4wd Colorado in a parking lot all day. It still had lots of data cables in the cab running everywhere, but the interior was great looking, and other than the chrome bumpers, it was a nice looking truck. One thing that really struck me was how deep the bed is on these. On my Taco, I could reach over the bed rail and pick up something from the floor, but not so much on the Colorado. Once the diesel is available, it's likely to be my next truck.

Unfortunately no, because I was on my bike and I don't carry a camera (plus my old-school dumbphone doesn't have one), but it looks like the white one above, except extended cab. I agree that the double cab long bed above has some goofy proportions- I don't see how that would be better than a Silverado extended cab short bed.

I agree about the double cab long bed, although I always thought a double cab long bed tacoma looked goofy too. There's no reason for a "small" truck to be longer than a limo.

Ranch Topper, Bull Bar.....Yes, I know everyone thinks they are crap, I like the look
My sister is interested in one of these.
I'm looking forward to helping her shop.
3.6 with 305 HP is attractive.
Mate with the 6 speed auto and we might be buying 2 trucks.......
    I had a 2013 Camaro with the 325HP V-6.
It was a fun ride for a V-6.

I'm still waiting for the 45k price tag for the models that "1-up" the tacoma specs....not to mention the dezul price.

Anyone going to test drive one when they hit the dealer lots? After reading about them this morning in Car & Driver I am thinking about it. I want to feel 302 HP in a mid-size truck. I had a Dodge Dakota rental once with the V8 and it was fun to drive.
