I still have a choice. I could buy a frontier or wait a few years for the Colorado to prove itself. I thought this was 'merica where greed and a lack of corporate ethics was king?

Relax lol. Breath deeply. Do yoga.

Btw look up the terms oligopoly and collusion and you'll understand what the auto industry was before toyota was around in North America.

Everyone here gets so bent out of shape that the Tacoma platform is 10years old, GM and ford both did that with the S10 and Ranger, actually those were older with s10 running 1982-2003 on the same basic platform. Gm's last Colorado ran from 2004-2012 when it was then abandoned by Gm at the time. If a vehicle is selling well and your making profit on it why rush to change things? Sounds like it was good business from Toyotas standpoint and now the 3rd gen will arrive just in time since the Gm twins arrival and knock them back down.

Has anyone seen the gauge cluster on the Colorado? Looks so basic if you don't get the info screen..im very surprised.

EPA mileage means nothing. I'll wait for fuelly and forum feedback. People are simply trying to point out the 3.6 L is untested in a truck, which is true. Deal with it calmly ;)

Make sure you add in the maintenance and PITA costs of it breaking down and down time. Hell might freeze over if i swap my yota' for a GM.

The 3.6 makes 10 more lb-ft of torque than the 1GR. HP is higher because it peaks at 7000 rpm. sounds like a car motor to me. Regular driving it wont be any quicker than a 1GR. Only when you bring it up over 6000rpm. And really, do you do that when you tow?

How about you buy more oil from Canada? Oh wait, that's right, the USA would still prefer to poison oceans with tankers and kill thousands of Americans rather than build a simple pipeline...

We were having a discussion before you started taking it personal. I don't live under a bridge nor do I turn to stone in sunlight. I am not a troll lol.

Seriously, let's stay on topic and keep personal insults in PM's.

    Lol exactly keep crying.

You're the one taking it personal. Your relatives loose their GM stock and pension plans or something?

Says a rangers fan ;), you're going to get this thread locked. If that's what you want you're winning I guess. Most people seem to agree the new Colorado is a bit of a risk until proven and are happy with there current tacomas for a long time. Anyways I'm done until you have something relevant to say again.

It means chevy owners will have to watch out for these signs because their trucks will get stuck driving over railroad tracks. Lol

I missed your edit. If you seriously want to know my uncle owns a large share of several GM dealers and most of my cousins had there first professional jobs with them (most of them are engineers, accountants, and management types.)
They all moved on, some after finding regional and corporate positions within GM. Most of them had there GM vehicles fail them while the worked for GM. They also have very little nice to say about the company at the cooperate levels in Detroit or Oshawa when Oshawa was still around. I could get into every single story but let's just leave it at the fact my uncle stopped selling most of my family vehicles because it was affecting family functions.
