:D. I own a Ram 2500 and a Taco. I find it interesting how many guys stick around on here after they trade there taco. I used to be on juke forums but when I sold mine I stopped posting since I really didn't have anything to add to that forum. Then again tacoma world is pretty badass as far as communities go!

I was just curious why that guy was so stressed out about GM's and my comments about them. Now I know, it's because he owns a Chevy and he's defending the decision. I'm glad he likes his truck but I respectfully think that it's difficult to relate the silverado and the Colorado. I've also seen a lot of issues in silverado's that would keep me from buying one myself. Bottom line is I'm not a fan of the new Chevy but I'm glad he likes his. I'd prefer an F150 if I went full sized. To each his own.

I bet the air dam makes the same horrible scraping noises as the Taco's mudflaps. :)

How do you know what the 16MY Tacoma will look like? I don't even know yet, and I talk to the reps all the time. All to pictures you see on the net are not from Toyota.

Hmm, some interesting tidbits that could be gleamed from the TFL video (click picture for full-size, 3840x2160):

    • Front diff housing is aluminum
    • Engine oil pan is aluminum
    • Rear driveshaft is aluminum and single-piece, with no carrier bearing
    • Front driveshaft uses a CV joint, which is maintenance-free for the most part
    • Rear diff has a drain plug, unlike some other American axles

I like how the Y-pipe has consistent piping size compared to the Tacoma uneven pipe shrinking.

On the other hand, dropping the transmission pan will probably require removing the Y-pipe.

Here's to hoping no one accidentally drains the front diff while changing the oil.

Maybe that's why he no longer owns one. That's why I no longer have one. Mine wasn't cutting it and the future seemed bleak. I wouldn't have minded sticking with it until something new came out. 2014 model year arrived... then 2015... game over. Same "reliable" but archaic truck. Guess it doesn't matter if you keep a vehicle for 20 years (what, 5% of us?).

Not like I hate Toyota, I still have a 4runner that just hit 250k. Toyota just banks on people making excuses for their lack of effort, and I can't ignore that. If the trend continues, the 2016(?) or whatever redesign will be OK for the time period, and stick around for at least 5 years after we begin commuting via hoverboard.

By the way, hand calculated was almost spot on across those fill ups.

Not good for wheeling, I guess they used it to save weight.

I'd like to see you try to keep that dodge to 250,000 miles :D. I'm glad you like your new truck but I've never had luck with dodge/ram. I just bought a 2500 slt and I'm having several issues with it. My work 2007 1/2 ton was exactly the same way.

I do like some of the things I'm hearing that I blindly overlooked because of my desire for a Taco.... The rear disc brakes sound nice, not for the stopping power, but the easy of maintenance alone. Stopping power increase is probably negligible because it's just the rears.

The thing I can't get over is the cut of the back of the cab and the front of the bed, very weird shape.
