To make matters more interesting, the rear fender gap is so large, you can see light through it to the other side:

More rake probably equals better mpg, I wonder what these trucks will get for mpg once people level them out and remove that front air dam. The rear tire is the thing that really bothers, its so visible and at a weird angle, last gen had them tucked up just like our trucks.

Yeah it hasn't been that long since the Colorado was around. Anyways how about you go buy one sight unseen from the dealer right now and let us know what you pay. I'm guessing you won't get the deal you're insisting that you will.

Arguing about this is silly. Let's just say historically the Colorado was over priced compared to it big sibling and until it's proven other wise it'd be hard to see that changing.

I totally understand why they did that and agree with you, but that truck looks like all it needs is some 12" wide tires for it to be some 16 yo's drag racing wannabe dream. A leveling kit cannot come out to soon for that truck. I've mentioned it in a few threads but not this one, if that air damn comes off and looks like shit then that would be a deal breaker for me if I was looking at this truck. I KNOW I would bust that off the first time I go field scouting.

The whole design from the rear door back looks fugly IMHO. Poor execution of an otherwise fairly good looking design. I still don't like the look of the step on the bumper either. The body lines are also way to over emphasized, though I realize that's the fad right now. I'd rather had real fender flairs over fake one's that are punched into the metal for looks.

Then again the wife is thinking about taking one for a test drive against the 4Runner she wants so I may end up with both a Colorado and Tacoma anyways lol.

I'm sorry, but that truck is just butt. I'm not just busting because I love my tacoma, I really think it looks like ass. I've made the statement many a time, blown out butthole. If i actually thought it looked decent, I would say so. On top of that, I don't trust chevy/gm.

I've read from other members here that said honda is making an actual truck. Not anything close to what they have previously built, but an actual truck. If that's actually true, then that would be interesting. Honda has quality behind them, unlike chevy/gm.

I seen a Colorado its a little squareish. I do like the antanna on chevy. I think there price is higher then Tacoma. I live in Michigan where ford, chev. dodge sell. the junk yards are full of them.

I personally think the gmc canyon looks tons better then the colorado. If I had to get one I'd defiantly go for the gmc.

I just priced one out with the USAA car buying service.

2wd, crew cab, long bed Canyon with the SLT package sells for 31500 plus tax. A comparable Sierra SLT is offered for 6k more at 36,999.

No offense intended but if you paid that for a Sierra you're getting jacked. My ex bought her 2014 SLT crew cab Z71 4x4 for 41 K, and could of had the non Z71 4x4 for 36K. And that's in Canada where we pay 20% more than you guys for vehicles.

Anyways we could fight this out for days, there's no convincing you. Have fun with your 31000 dollar 2wd truck .

EDIT: Just FYI my current fiancé is interested in the Colorado if the Z71 drives as nice as a 4Runner. She wants a small vehicle that can tow, uses body on frame, and has true 4x4. So I'll be pricing one out once they are available on Canada on lot.

How much do you think Tacomas cost? They're the exact same price as the Colorado. No one seems to have a problem buying Tacomas.

There is absolutely no way your fiance could have gotten a 4x4 SLT for 36K. A crew cab long bed SLT has an MSRP of $46,406 and an average paid price of 42K.

There's about a 6k difference between the GMC Canyon and comparable full size. And comparing the true out the door price shows that the GMC has the exact same price as the current Tacoma.

Truck's not even in showrooms yet, and GM's already releasing vinyl packages:

Cutaway confirms the curved cab rear wall doesn't do anything except rob storage space behind the rear seats. Also note similar anti-dive UCA geometry as the Taco, which means the suspension will likewise lose caster when lifted.

I'm done. If you can't believe me that's your issue. You're one of those guys who probably thinks employee pricing events are actually selling at true employee price lol. The MSRP on the Colorado is higher and most guys are paying around 29-33 K for there TRD Tacoma's. If you wanna pay more for a Colorado be my guest. Enjoy overpaying for your new Colorado that you'll hate in a year. :brianr:

Hey, you're the one that has to lie on the internet because you don't like a brand.

I don't believe you because you're FOS. Do you really expect us to believe that the dealer was willing to sell you a car for 10K off MSRP and at a loss?

Like I said, I'm done trying to have a reasonable chat with you. If you think USAA is the end all and be all of great deals have at 'er buddy.

    Right bro.

You just said that I would be getting jacked because you could buy a 4x4 SLT for 36K.

Now you're saying that they were hooking up your girlfriend because she was working there.

There's nothing reasonable about your chat because you're quite obviously lying.
