First off mad thanks to Tacomaworld member GTGallop for the the rear view mirror adapter!

I have 2 things to power, a radar detector and a dash camera. The radar detector uses +12v and the dash camera uses +5v. My first idea was to use the normal adapter to power the +5v dash camera then tap into the adapter and run +12v wires to my radar detector. But, using the rear view mirror adapter and plugging in a usb cord to it and trying to hide the usb cord and still tap into the rear view mirror adapter to power my radar detector turned into a huge amount of wires to hide. So I took a step back and rethought this... This is my solution...

When I put a meter on the wires on the plug on the rear view mirror none of them stayed a steady 12 volts? Maybe my meter was acting up. I didnt put much time into investigating it, but I believe one of the wires on the main harness for the overhead console had a 5 volt reading.

I’m not sure how much different your ‘23 pinouts are from the 2017 model - and caution others about trying to run power from other sources like that 5-volt line. If someone is getting intermittent readings there could be several reasons for it including meter or user error. If they are not sure which to use, I’d run a separate +12v fused wire using a fuse tap in the fuse box behind the dash near the pedals.

There are others here that can answer the question better than I also…

your not worried about the mirror and that close to the roof degrading the range? I also kinda use mine as my speedometer so I like it front and center :)

RADENSO KICKS A$$! I'm loosing faith that the Theai will be out anytime soon though :(

Yah, I chose a solid 12v line, I just thought I'd mentioned that I noticed one of the power wires had a lower voltage

Nice write up! I was able to power them both up using the mirror wise power adapter with pins as seen in my thread over here, but there are more cables for sure.
