New clockspring was missing a plug, but everything works?

    The VSC wouldn't be happy.
    The clockspring doesn't come with the steering angle sensor, you have to swap it over to the new one. Easy to do.

    I would imagine that it would probably throw a code for the missing angle sensor. I don't really know for sure. I would recommend getting the correct spiral cable.

    Thanks. So the $300 part is just the sensor?! I passed the info to my buddy. He was inclined to get a new clockspring with the sensor on it. He will be shopping for it this morning. Told him about just swapping over the sensor and that is the backup plan. Thanks again.

    Clocksprings still aren't cheap but they typically don't come with the steering angle sensor, you have to swap it over.
    I did one on a Tundra a few weeks ago and it just snapped on the back of the clockspring, easy to swap over.

    I have no idea what the sensor cost. I just know that there is an angle sensor and then the spiral cable. They snap together as described by Dm93.

    If the spiral cable is broken you should just replace that and swap the angle sensor from the old cable to the replacement.
