Hi, Just joined, hoping some of your experience might help me. I just installed a LC performance pro clutch in our 97 tacoma and it is not breaking in like they said it would. It chatters a bit on release and if you try to pull into a parking spot or up into the gar you get the clutch smell.

I thought I did everything right installing: surfaced fly wheel at a machine shop, tightened new presure plate slowly, in the star pattern it asked for, didn't have too much trouble gettnig trans in, just shook it around a bit and she went in. But from the first drive didn't act right. the pedal feels great, stiffer than it used to be, with about a 1/2 of free play.

I've heard that, but we have a little over 100 now.
