My father and I just installed a new clutch on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4x4 with a manual transmission. After having it all put back together I attempted to take it for a spin. I turned it on and had no luck putting it into gear. No reverse, no 1st. When it’s off, it goes into the gears fine. The Transfer case also seems to be stuck in neutral. I am hoping to avoid taking it all apart again. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Or heard of something like this?

Did you replace the pilot bearing ?
The clutch disc could be installed backwards.

    Agree

Before taking it apart again, make sure the slave cylinder piston is moving the fork.

Like Lila said my money is on you put the disk in backwards it doesn't look like it would matter but there very much is a front and back side the difference is how much the hub sticks out each side it's a common enough mistake that the FSM calls out face orientation multiple times IIRC.
