    Hey folks,

I first had a 1988 standard cab SR5 4x4 that I bought new, kept it stock, it lasted 4 years, till some guy rear ended me and totaled it. Then I purchased a new 1992 4x4 extra cab deluxe, had it for 15 years. I lifted it with a Pro Comp stage II 4in. 4.88 gears, add a leafs, BFG 33in. AT's, Snugtop cap, Warn 8000 winch along with a bunch of other goodies. That truck had seen a lot of tough Colorado trails over the years and never gave me any problems (except the rear pinion would break every 30k, but that was after market). I big time regret getting rid of it. I sold it because I needed a 4 door for the little guy, that got to big to cram into the back anymore.

Well after straying for a bit, I have come back full circle to Toyota. I recently purchased a 2011 Silver DC TRD loaded 4x4 6spd (sorry no pics yet). I must say though that these 2nd Gens are built really cheap, the thing is literally 50% plastic along with very thin sheet metal . Unfortunately I just don't see these trucks making it 15 years, like the Toys of old. Oh well, time will tell I guess.

Anyway, after lurking here for a little while, I figured it was time to join up. This seems like a great forum with some nice knowledgable people.

Thanks for letting me be a part of TW.
