I know that road..LOL I took my first Taco on that desert road many times never needed the 4x4 LOL. Lots of those "smooth" desert roads around Vegas as well as eal rock crawling 4x4 action out there he must have missed.....4x4 was a must for ski trips to Brian Head in the snow''
Still like the look of the Canyon much better....but no replacement for a Tacoma.

Haha but when you have the best in the segment braking, people on the passenger seat without a seat belt will still loose their teeth when you slam the pedal with those drums.

Those front seats seat backs are so narrow. I'd think one's shoulders would get really tired on a long road trip.

You do realize this is a body on frame truck that has more payload and towing capacity than the almighty Tacoma?

You sound like a teenager throwing a temper tantrum.

Have you seen the new Tacoma with its air dam? It's approach angles and clearance aren't much better.

Most professional reviewers as well as many non-Tacoma fanboys thinks they ARE on to something.

What info are you using to make all these claims? The front air dam doesn't have nearly the affect on fuel economy that you're claiming. We're talking about less than 1 mpg.

Fanboys? WTF do you think is filling this thread with all this blind biased nonsense?

Are you still in high school? If not, that's even more embarrassing for you.

I've compared the infotainment in the GM twins to what's offered in the 2nd Gen Taco and other Toyotas. I hate to break it to you, but the GM infotainment system was better. Also, in the Canyon I test drove, anything in the interior that looked like metal, actually was metal. I can't say the same for the Tacoma or any Toyota for that matter.

Wow, you are completely full of shit. Your bias completely blinds you. Have you seen the air dam on the Tacoma? It looks like shit too. While the air dam on the GM twins is a little large, and would be the first thing I removed if I purchased one, it's not nearly as brittle or poorly made as you're claiming here.
Hmm, a wannabe truck that can out tow and haul the Tacoma?

Seriously, this site is notorious for its fanboys, but this thread really takes the cake. It's so bad I almost think it's satire, but sadly, it's not.

The 2nd Gen Tacoma does not have best in segment braking. The 3rd gen's system is basically a carryover from what I understand, so it probably won't be any better.

Yes, if a brand rep says so, it has to be true! Just like if it's on the internet...

Wow, you really took the time to defend the POS.
In the end the tacoma will outlive anything GM has produced.
I pay for quality and I've owned a chev, never again.

This is old news but this is what the chief engineers said: "according to Toyota Tacoma chief engineer Mike Sweers. Toyota improved the drums brakes with a new vacuum booster and a new antilock braking system to improve how the brakes feel, reduce fade and improve stopping distance."

Yeah but some people don't do research before they say that the tacoma has wood brakes.
