    Northwest fabrication (@NorthwestFabworks) is taking preorders for their own planetary, billet doubler case. Retains stock gearing (2.57) while bolting in between your transmission and t-case AND it’s only 6.5” long. It’s fully clock-able and allows several different t-case options such as VF1, VF2, VF3/4, RF1A, Atlas II, Dana 300 and Ford/Chevy NP205. They’re currently taking names for the preorder and at a price of $1200-1300 (depending on what transfer case is used behind it) it’s a steal.THIS DOES REQUIRE THE PLANETARIES OUT OF A DONOR CASE

    hit them up on IG: @Northwestfab
    Or
    Email them:
    info@northwestfabworks.com

    To get your pre order going theyll need:

    Full name
    Address
    Phone number
    Email address
    Year of trans and model
    Intended transfer case

    If you end up buying one, let them know i sent you. :thumbsup:

    This will have to go on the wish list for me. I have a few other items above it.

    But, sub-1st gear LR speeds would be nice, not to mention what is likely easier manual engagement.

    I wish I knew what that was or what it does... because it's purdy.

    ELI5? Anyone?

    For someone with a currently stock drivetrain, how would this be implemented? What switching, wiring, plumbing, etc would be required?

    it goes in between your transmission and transfer case and give you two low gears, one low gear in the crawl box and one low gear in the stock t-case

    stock gear ratio for my truck is
    4.17x2.57x5.29=56.69:1
    (1st gear)x(tcase low gear)x(differential ratio)=crawl ratio.

    With a second t case that looks like
    4.17x2.57x2.57x5.29=145.69:1
    (1st gear)x(crawl box)x(2nd tcase low gear)x(differential ratio)=crawl ratio.

    Also, rear of the box and output shaft is swappable. So if you decide on going with a different t case in the future you can just swap out what’s not needed and install the new parts.

    I've pre-ordered 3 of them now. Auto and Manual trans and one more for a AWD 4runner. It's a pretty rad design at a good price. You need a doner case so pick that up now as I have a feeling the junkyard cases might be harder to come by and the price may pick up. I'd start sourceing your doner case now.

    So does this additional gearing engage like an air locker with OBA, electronically, or does it require a manual shifter, like the Marlin gear box?

    Thanks for the explanations!

    Will there be a complete bolt in option.
    That's the crawl box and t case together?

    There will be a ready built Gearbox option yes, not with a T case behind it.
