    Hi,
I just had both CV axles replaced on my 09 DCLB. Is it normal for fluid to be leaking out of the fill plug? I've driven it two days and was wondering if it is excess fluid from the repair, or if the front diff is continuing to leak.

    Here's a picture:

    Thanks in advance.

I suggest cleaning that area off with a good brake clean, or good degreaser. Then watch it over the next day or so. It could be that the area was never cleaned properly when the CV axle was replaced. The leak shows that it could even be coming from the seal at the differential housing, if it is not just residual that hasn't been cleaned.

^^^THIS. Don't say it's leaking until you've checked it properly. This is why Doing It Yourself is the best way. So you see what is going on

Thanks. I cleaned it up and will check it the next few days. It's a bit worrisome after the time and money spent at the shop.
