Is it 6.5" for the tent, or 6.5" from the bottom of tent to top of the top rails?

Thanks for the review. I'm looking at one as well. However, I'm confused about the sizes. The one things that CVT needs to fix right now is their website. The lack of info is very frustrating. The Mt. Hood comes in 3 sizes, 50", 56", and 60"....what does that mean? width? I'm assuming it's width but there is no mention of whether that's interior (mattress) width or exterior width and absolutely no info on length or weight.

Since you have the 56", does that mean 56" wide? Do you know how long it is or how much it weighs for the 56"? I'm 6'4" and I don't want to find out that my toes are squished. I've reached out to CVT on their Facebook page since it's a weekend but no response. Would like to snag the Black Friday deal if it works but don't want to order it without all the details.

Yep, that’s the width. I THINK they’re all the same length. Just call them up if you have questions. They have a sales team that’s pretty knowledgeable and can answer your questions.

I don’t mean to deter you from purchasing one, but for real, I am only 5’ 7” and sometimes it feels a little too small for my short ass

From your question above, have you noticed a difference on the rake of the truck after having it for some time?

I had a shell, rack and the tent. Definite rake difference with the weight, but not terrible. I have the tent mounted to a trailer now though. I mostly took it off because of the noise and I wasn’t a huge fan of the new driving characteristics of my truck.

I’m going to be having a similar set up and am just waiting for the tent to arrive. Thanks for the feedback. Wonder if I should do a 3 AAL now to mitigate the weight (still on stock suspension).

I have the medium OME Dakar pack and I felt like the heavy duty would have been a better option. It def sagged with weight in the truck bed plus everything else

I have a awning mounted to it and the crossbars that came with it. The channels make it very easy for sure

So just to confirm, you are saying it seems too small for you and you are 5'7"? I am 5'10", not a giant but if you think it is too small then I will probably think the same.

I don’t always sleep with my head and feet to the very ends, but with a wedge, you will notice when your feet are near the end moreso than your head being near the top. I think you’d be fine, was just saying someone who’s more than 6’ is going to notice the length sometimes

You have it attached to the Prinsu roof rack and to the cab rack? Does the flex between the cab and bed not cause problems? Looks to me like it would cause major issues?

What would be causing it to flex?

Not picking up what you’re putting down. There were no issues with how it was bolted to the rack, besides being a pain in the ass to put on
