No problemo. I got a rivnut gun from harbor freight that was surprisingly really good quality, along with some silicone, makes it so I can take the mount on and off with ease like previously done on this thread, instead of using self tappers.

Is it that the rivnut gun that comes with a big case and different attachments + rivnut sizes? That thing is awesome, I forget the exact brand name it was...I couldn't find a rivnut gun anywhere in a store (not Ace, Home Depot or Lowes) and low n behold, Harbor Freight carries them.

I did some rivnuts then 2 part epoxied the bracket as well the bolts. All of it. Mixed it and waited a couple of minutes. Smeared it all around everywhere and bolted it down. Mixed a little more and while it was running poured it through and around everywhere else exposed. A wet finger will make it pack up in any crevice like putty.

Yeah it's this one: Same thing happened to me. Went to Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Lowes and they only had special orders, nothing in the store. I didn't want to do Amazon cause i like to support my "local" stores and you never know the quality. Then I went to harbor freight thinking they wouldn't have anything worth a $h@# but then I saw that one for 24 bucks. It's not the standard design, but I was really surprised at the quality of work it did. I've been using it for a bunch of other projects since!

Seems like a lot of inexpensive snorkels back on the market, looking at the other links in those Ebay ads. Weird how it seems to come in surges, then prices go up, then they get cheap again. I've had zero complaints with mine (I assume they're all relatively the same) going on 4 years now. Had to replace some of the screws with new ones that don't rust over so easily but that was it.

Haters all claimed the plastic was inferior and would begin to break down in a few years. I'm still waiting. Mine looks just as good as the day I installed it. Haters just gonna hate:burnrubber:

Mine does too but it’s been sitting in the corner of the garage for two years so…

I think @BartMaster1234 bought one too but was waiting to pick up a new fender before he attempted to drill his or something....that was a few years ago.

Of all the things I would do differently now with my truck, the Ebay snorkel is not one of them. It's held up great and I have no complaints with it.

Well, I was watching the snorkel on ebay, and the seller sent me an offer to sell it for $65. Can't say no to that. I'll try to get it installed this weekend.

One thing I should have and still want done is to add a bead of silicone to the inner fender section. The foam padding that seals it to the airbox was dust and that seal isn’t 100%. Maybe 80% at best.
