Ha I was thinking the same thing. Based on the shadow that is being cast off of that white Tacoma in the picture though I am led to believe that the sports are still installed, and the Maxes are being held at about chest level. :notsure:

I know I'm on a elevated driveway while sitting level in the garage. I had them just mocked up on top of the grill.

I’ve been running the Pros in yellow for a couple months now, I REALLY like them but no way would I run the maxes for night driving on road. I get flashed with my Pros on at night once in a while. They are aimed down also a good amount.
The maxes look bright as all hell...haha

The Max has much sharper cut offs than the Pros as demonstrated in the review here: Diode Dynamics SS3 Max

The sharper cut offs with less light spill above the horizon, means less glare to oncoming drivers, so you’d be flashed less in theory. Do double check you have your Pros aimed correctly though as their cut offs meet street legal spec.

Ahh I wasn’t aware these Maxes had a better cutoff, that’s my only annoyance with the Pros the spill is pretty bad.
I might look into the Maxes after the hype dies down and yellow becomes available.
Still think the Pros are a good buy though. I’ll also wait to see some on road comparison shots between the two of them.

Yeah, pretty big difference. I'm looking forward to trying out the new selective yellow optic.

I got my shipping notification from Diode Dynamics today. My SS3 Max fogs in selective yellow will be here Friday. I'm excited to compare them to the sports I have now.

Max on the left. Sports on the right. There's definitely a difference. More than the photo shows. The cut off is just as sharp if not better.20201211_211253.jpg 20201211_211746.jpg
