Does anyone know where to get security nuts/bolts for the SS3 pods?

I've been looking at these, and would want them on when driving — I run the stock fogs most of the time when I'm out at night. Thinking the Driving White Sport or Fog White Sport so I don't annoy other drivers. Any feedback?

The driving lens should only be used when you would use your high beams. Sounds like you want the fogs.

Sounds good. Gonna go with the Fog Sports I think. I imagine that will be better than OEM and the Pros seem too bright for my use case.

If you wire them with the stock wiring like the instructions say they will turn off with the high beam headlights unless you do a mod to change that and your on your own to find that info. The stock wiring is set up for fog lights which in most states are required to go off when the high beams are active.

I would get fog lights then. I have the yellow sports and I drive with them on most of the time too. Get white if that's your choice.

Yeah, I’m not looking to change the stock behavior. You like the yellow at night?

I do like the yellow. I think for me it's especially better in fog rain and snow.
Of course if you live in southern California where it hardly ever rains and all it might not be better.

I run my Yellow Sport Fog lights any time I am on the road. They work great at night for spotting people on the sides of the road or in crosswalks.

at the sport level, the whites are definitely brighter than stock but they won't blind you. I have the sport yellows and I think they're excellent in the rain and fog etc.

I've got the yellow sports and love them.

Paired them with the Philips Ultinon LED headlights, and the high-beam relay mod so I can run fogs w/high-beams; it's a great setup.

Um, you do realize that running fogs with high beams (especially drop in LEDs) actually reduces your distance vision right?

I get what you're saying, but running the yellow DD SS3s in conjunction with the pure white light of the Ultinons actually helps, as it brings down the overall color temp of the light thrown in front of the vehicle to something more visible to the human eye. The Ultinons are a little too white for my liking.

Additionally, due to the issues of running drop-in LEDs (albeit shielded to prevent glare), I simply lose too much foreground and peripheral illumination with the Ultinons switched to the high beams without the support of the SS3s.

Have you considered the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade? It will fix most of your issues and kick butt on those LEDs.

I did initially, then read a favorable review of the Ultinons by the originator of the UHU... so I figured I'd give the Philips LEDs a shot. They're great for low beams, but the highs leave some to be desired.

Eventually, I'll make the switch back to halogens. I'm not really in the mood for any more cold driveway wrenching after my weekend suspension marathon a couple weeks ago.

All this talk about driving with high beams is purely for running through the desert or deep woods at night with no one else around correct?

Dark east coast backroads full of deer, maybe?

I don’t go around with my high beams on in traffic, c’mon.
