New Engine Break-In - Why break-in oil is no longer standard

    I beg to differ on this. Never changed the oil early on any engine. No oil burn. My beloved 3.4L had 190K. Factory fill to 5K. My 15 it was a year old when I bought it with 30K. I doubt that was done early too. 136K no oil burn.

    Good info! Definitely going to change mine at 1k in my 2024 offload. No F’ing way I’d go 10k!

    I disassembled my entire engine at 10, 100, and 1,000 miles and wiped down every trace of oil and particles. You can’t be too careful !
