I had been reading that - maybe I'll try to put one together today. I had read they don't like peppermint, so I sprayed some of stuff I use to repel mice. It did seem to work for a while, but since a shed is more exposed to the elements and less sealed than a house, it fades too quickly to keep up with it.

My last shed had vents and it was never an issue, so I think you're onto something. This one doesn't - it's a little 4x8 lean-to that I built from a Lowes kit. I had been thinking about cutting spots to add some so it doesn't get quite as hot inside, but this is another reason to do that!

These wasps keep building on the underside of the door header for some reason, haven't found anything in the eaves yet. I should have taken a picture before I took steel wool to it to clean it up this time, but it was funny - it looked like they went through about 100 attempts to start an attachment point before they were successful.

Everything I read says "just seal the shed better" and that isn't super helpful because it isn't like we're dealing with a house door with weatherstripping and stuff - shed doors aren't usually designed to form a seal.

I did read that rubbing bar soap on spots where they like to nest can work, and that they don't like citrus. I found some citrus bar soap today, so I think I'll give that a shot on the door header. Combined with ventilation and a fake nest, maybe if one thing doesn't work another will.

I probably used the wrong term when I said "eaves." Where I had them in the old shed was right below the peak at the front of the shed over the doors. Which I think is where you have them. Put the vents there and it should solve your problem. Apparently, they don't like the air movement, so will nest in your neighbors shed instead of yours.

This one is a lean-to so it doesn't really have a peak like most sheds. I open the doors and surprise - wasp nest attached to the header. They get in and build there for some reason.

I would just put a vent above the door and if possible on the opposite wall.

Unfortunately I can't above the door - no space. If I do it, it'll have to be on the side walls.

Got the last one in my shed with the shop vac. Taped the hose to a stick and sucked them up. Works great on ground hornets.

That's a possibility - I'd have to get power out there, though. It isn't actually attached to the garage in any way, so I just have a solar charging battery light in there now.

He just did a lift this weekend, it's a 4runner but it's in the toyota family. Not sure what came off, just throwing out the thought.

We replaced front and back shocks and springs, plus front UCAs, they have just under 30k and less than 3 years old.

I have a complete minus fasteners rear interior (everything - seatbel buckles, console, hinges, rear panel, seats, headrests, everything) for a 2nd gen Access Cab here, no rips or tears, little bit of storage dirt, sat in about three times before I pulled it for a dog deck like 10 years ago.

Free for pickup, otherwise it's going away on the next bulky day at the transfer station.

If the others don’t work out for you, I have a set from my 2011. They have about 60k on them and have been in the box on a shelf for a little while but you can have them if you need them.

I was cleaning out the garage and basement and put stuff on a table on the side of the road. I made a sign that said free stuff and taped it to the table. I thought about adding "but not the table" and thought nah, people won't be that dumb.

I got home today and noticed the table was gone and a bunch of the stuff was just on the lawn. Looked back at the video and some lady showed up, took everything off the table and put it on the lawn, and took the table.

It was only a $20 folding table so not a huge deal to replace it, but seriously?

I’d bet that the table would have disappeared even if you put a sign on it not to take it.

I thought it might disappear once everything else did, so I put one of the ones out that I liked the least. I was mostly surprised that someone dumped everything on the ground to take it.

We used to use small bins for recycling each week at trash day. I'd usually have a few returnable bottles but didn't bother to take them to the store. My recycle stuff was ending up on the lawn and one day I found out why..an older fellow collecting cans would take the bottles from my bin, but in the process knock a lot of other stuff out of the bin and just leave it on my lawn. I was home from work the next week on trash day and saw him do it..walked outside and politely told him if you ever touch that bin you better put back in the bin what you don't take or we have a problem.

So yeah I don't have any real faith in people.
