    Yeah.
Back in 2012 I was doing a local downhill MTB race that used a flatbed trailer as the shuttle. I was sitting right above a tire that blew out. That was almost a code brown. They just kept going, lol.

I think the extra durability of C rated tires would be worth it if you go offroad at all. I'm a fan of the E's because of the previously mentioned NMW shale. These were SL tires

What idiot would off road a 4 ply SL tire :spy:

It depends. My truck the performance limits of the tires met the suspension height and armor at the time. Yours would probably find the tires to be the limiting factor if you went to 4ply/SLs.

That said if you're only doing the RI spot once every 3 years type of thing, and the rest of the time it's a pavement princess (not that there's anything wrong with that), I'd be looking between 4 and 6 ply, probably not 10. (SL and C, but not E (or 8 ply D))

It's just a stark change because NFF is a once a year thing. People are there and dream of it the other 359 days a year (with jazz fest too).

These people who want to be all hippy dippy lovey dovey at the fort - cross the gates and F you I'm the main character now. Like an immediate switch happens. I just don't get how people can have that quick of a mood change.

Then again. Driving in RI, I'm sure a lot of these people think this IS the nice lovey dovey stuff :jerkoff:

That’s just normal driving for the a-holes in southern New England. The stuff I see on the roads lately is insane. Saturday I was in the process of getting off an exit and someone passed me on the right in the breakdown lane just barely squeezing between me and the guardrail. Of course i ended up right behind her at the stop light off the exit and then behind her for the next few miles. Definitely worth risking your life to be 20’ ahead of someone in life.

Off road? When was the last time you took that thing off road? The RI Spot? We would all love to see you take your truck off road again. I remember when we were at the walmart parking lot meet and we were trying to get the installation of your front bumper done. The look that you had in your eye was priceless......

I think it was last year I took my buddy around Freetown State Forest, but that's about as far off the pavement I've been since I almost drowned it on my birthday that one year

:spy: you can do that area in a Prius. I've seen it. It didn't come out in one piece but it came out under its own power!

Don't you have like 17 cars? F it. E load the truck.

Don't have to tell me twice.

And I get that that's the "norm", but that emotional high of NFF and then seeing the stars and bird stickers getting 3 inches from the car in the left lane on a surface street because "get the F out of MY passing lane" mentality was just bananas.

I have some gripes about the NFF crowd in general, but they're minor. But the driving back after the fest each night and watching the Mad Max take over, knowing full well they just spent 10 hours preaching patience and kindness and acceptance, and we're going back to do the same at 10AM the next day - blew my mind.

I've got the gull and stars on my headliner patch collection. Kind of a new mentality when I'm on the road, "Would I do this at Folk Fest?" and if the answer is "Absolutely the hell not" - I ain't.
I was never as bad as the average RI driver but I did used to be a bit of a turd on the road. Part of why I ditched my old Mazda

And looking at this - I have to add a couple I haven't put up yet and update this. This is old :p

Wow! How much rain did you get up there yesterday? It didn’t rain very hard at all down here in Massholia.
