I haven't followed this case at all, but my wife has followed it all along. I think they brought in a special prosecutor to avoid charges that the prosecutors in the district attorney's office were biased against her and in favor of the police. I don't know if that bias is correct, but it could be ground for an appeal. Well an appeal if she was convicted of the murder charge.

Very likely, especially given it was a police officer who died plus there were other officers involved in the events leading up

Curious if this whole case is done and over with now, or if further lawsuits are coming at other key players in the case who never had to testify during the second trial.

I'll bet there is a civil suit in her future, though you can't get blood from a stone.

Michael Proctor should be charged with something as well though not sure exactly what.

as far a Ms. Read it's VERY hard to pursue malicious prosecution in MA. You have to prove that there was knowledge of false evidence/testimony/knowledge of innocence and THEN prosecution was sought. Basically the DA can say "As far as I knew, from the evidence presented, it was charged in good faith"
and if it were discovered that a police officer doctored evidence, the DA can again say you were prosecuted based on the evidence...
So you have to sue the police officer for the actions...So it would be the MSP or Canton PD on the hook..

She's likely to pursue a 1983 action (Violation of civil rights)

Do you think the 1/4" spacers will still not have enough lug engagement?

That's just it, and good luck proving that when you have to fight them in their home court on top.

I'm more curious if the family will sue civilly for the death, A La the OJ trials.

Literally every expert in the trial "he was not hit by a car"
His phone was unlocked with his face at 12:32.
She connected to home WiFi at 12:36.
    The time doesn't reconcile.

    I believe something "else" happened

I do. Replacing lug studs isn’t that bad with a decent impact and a bfh if you wanted to go that route.

I think there are a few audiophiles in here. I'm not sure I fit that definition, but I had been eyeing these for a while and they're hard to find in this color. Some popped up and I snagged them. They're going into my office at work. I'm not sure it's possible to make a nicer looking set of computer speakers. I tried them quickly at home without positioning them properly and the sound does not disappoint.

Not surprised. Sadly they're not going to look at the other people there that night, but always go after the deep pocket I suppose.

Not like I want to be but yes. Mostly in the truck but I still have my Pioneer system from my college years.

I'm the opposite - never did much with car audio. I had a cheap under seat powered subwoofer and aftermarket headunit in my Tacoma, but that's about it. The factory B&O in my F-150 isn't awful, so I haven't messed with it.

I have halfway decent stuff in the house, though. Living room is 5.1 with Polk speakers and a Denon receiver. Garage has a Yamaha receiver driving a pair of RCF Monitor PA speakers which sound fantastic at higher volumes, plus a pair of Yamaha outdoor speakers under my canopy on the B channel. My home office has a little Texas Instruments based amplifier and old beat up Bose 201 series IIs that just won't die and are good enough for the limited time I spend there (with the treble nearly maxed to compensate for the dumb reflecting tweeters).

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I have an JBL surround system that I parted together myself using a Paradigm subwoofer. That sub is awesome! Recently I picked up some old ADS speakers and a vintage Rotel receiver!

Which model? The weak part of my living room system is the sub, since Polk makes decent speakers but lousy subwoofers. Was looking at an RSL to replace it.

I had some Paradigm Atoms at one time and really liked them.

What is this surround stuff y'all speak of haha..mine is from 1995 or 1996, only 2 or 4 channels. Puts out 200 twats. But that's plenty for a small house, not to mention I can't blast it when the Cupcake is home.

That would be why I did more with vehicles. My current is about 800 watts.

I have an old Yamaha that I should set up in the garage but I don't get much time to myself lately
