Yup, Cop Killer was on the heels of Rodney King although may not have been the reason for it..

 

im sure it may have been... according to dorner, a cop involved in the rodney king incident is now a captain... im glad that guy burned up, but at the same time, if anything he said held truth, LAPD may have some splainin to do.

 

NWA's song was in 87 or 88 so yeah..and fun fact, my cousin is now on the SWAT team there but started off on the LAPD in 93..

Come to think of it, my cousin was on the plane moving to LA when the riots were going on. Fortunately he didn't have to suit up and go into the fray, but he said there was a lot of tension for many years after and probably still is some.
