The news stations were camped at that house drooling...and feigning concern as they exploit the loss of a home...They were on the balcony of the neighbors house filming a house fall in the ocean...I wonder if they can even get insurance there...If not you need to accidentally leave a blow torch on before that house goes over the edge...fire always trumps flood :)

That does suck. At the same time what did you think was going to happen building your house that close to the water. Not to be a dick, just being logical...

I'm sure the state won't even let him go near it . Or anyone for that matter . I hate the news stations . They all suck . Fox 25 had a phone conversation with the owner . Guy sounded so sad and the news people kept asking questions . He finally just hung up the phone . I don't blame him .

Just remembered I have a bunch of either 11 or 12 gauge metal laying around the yard of my house. No need to get some more! It's a bunch of scrap off a job site I worked on this past summer. Going to be able to get a decent amount out of it hopefully

Yep, that's close to me. Sounds like I'll have to snow blow again tonight.

I agree 100%. I sort of feel bad because they're going to lose all their stuff but WTF did you think was going to happen when you built your house on an eroding beach, or in a flood plain for example...

Rollins did a rant about that..then people build the house on the same spot..and then the flood comes and takes it again. Why did this happen? Hmm..cause you're stupid. Here's a rowboat, call it a trailer home, go bang your sister.

Here's something exciting that just happend to my truck. When I went to drive it just about 20min ago something in the rear pumpkin, or axle let go. Hard. For some reason in my truck if you put the e-brake on and it either rains or snows at night when it's they freeze engaged and even if you release the brake, they stay engaged. Dumb drum brakes... Anyway cleared the snow out from behind the truck, put it in 4hi, released the ebrake and POW! Gears or splines grinding and not moving. Rear axle is toast. What's really surprising is just how easily it let go, I hadn't even let the clutch out all the way yet, but damn. There must have been something wrong with it before hand and it finally let go. Fun thing with the snow too, AAA can't tow it right now it looks like. Good thing it's under warranty lol!

Well, if I get stuck here the worst thing that could happen is I have to hang out with friends who are also staying in the area for break!

Has anyone else had the freezing rear brake issue?

I had that issue on my old Rangers. I don't use the e-brake on my Tacoma because it's an automatic. I've had my e-brake freeze and let go with a bang, but I can't believe yours held on well enough to fry the rear end!

Don't let them tow it with a hook, it needs to be towed on a flat bed.

Just so you know we have drum brakes in the rear but last year when we went wheeling in Taunton, Jason and I had a hell of a time moving after going to DD to warm up. Not to metion Fran blew his rear at the Subway down the street after grabbing a bite to eat.

Hope you get it done under warranty.

I can't believe it either! What a surprise, and then the grinding noise afterwards.... Oh poor Mia... With the weather looks like I won't be getting towed until tomorrow. And they'll bring a flatbed. The worst part is I know not to put the ebrake on when it's this cold just because I was afraid something like this could possibly happen. Oh well live and learn...

Agh! I meant drum brakes heh heh. Sounds like they will do it under warranty.
