If you really want to get rid of them and they fit, i'd be agreeable to making a deal on them.

You're implying you did keep your mouth shut over there :)

That guy was being a little bitch and deserved it! I do disagree with Troy's decision to post the guy's e-mail address though.

I know, if I was in on the group buy, I would have jabbed him a few times also.

I just mean the e-mail thing because of spam bots. Those little bastards are annoying!

i think those guys kind of have a point... why set up a GB, get everyones money, then all of the sudden all your shit's going to be delayed? prob shouldve held off on taking payments until he got all his stuff in and ready to go, wouldve avoided this whole sitch.

Troy was updating us and lights are not his full time gig. I honestly believe he had no idea how big the GB could have gotten on here. I also believe him when he said his first shipment was damaged as well. Yeah, he's in a little over his head but don't be a little bitch about it in the thread. Troy's phone number is available to everyone. Have a little tact, sac up, and call the guy if you're unhappy with the timeline.

yea i understand what youre saying, and that kid (because im sure thats what he is), was being obnoxious. BUT.... why does Alex have his lights? he hasnt paid for them... (nothing against Alex, not his fault) meanwhile, you have a shitload of people who HAVE paid, who dont have their lights, who are kinda feeling like, wut dafuq? I think he probably shouldve limited the GB to what he could do, and WAIT to take payments until the lights were in and good to go. alleviates this huge ass, not worth it, headache.

I don't think there's any denying that Troy is in way over his head. He runs this as a side business and the quantities that came in are full-time business levels. The group buy blew up but he neverspoke up and capped the GBs and actually ran another one back to back. My guess is he needed to charge people to front the money to get the product to him before shipping it out to the customers. The pallet getting destroyed is unfortunate but I'm not 100% convinced that is what really happened. If you get a pallet of materials stacked high and tight on a pallet, even if the thing did tumble off the back of a truck doing 60, what are the odds that ALL of the product was destroyed? I kind of agree with the whiner, pics would have helped his cause. As much as I disagree with some of the things being said about Troy in his GB thread, all the above points can't be ignored and if I had several hundred dollars tied up with him, and was approaching the limit of when I could no longer dispute the charge from Paypal, I'd be pretty pissed also. So far, the people who have received their lights are far outnumbered by those who haven't. Just sayin, try not to put on the blinders, it's a shitty situation.

x2. I dont know Troy from Adam, but I think he fucked himself pretty hard with this idea. I also dont agree that people who havent paid for lights, have them, while people who have paid, do not. That is not a fair business technique, whether you do it full time or part time. (again, nothing personal against Alex, its NOT his fault).

The reason a few people have their lights already (ill be one of them tomorrow :D) is because we paid before the group buy ended, the idea was to get pictures and reviews on the group buy page before it ended. Unfortunatley my light was destroyed during shipping about a month ago.

That's the risk of doing a gb with someone that isn't a full time business man .
I've only done 3 gb on here retrofit source, ATO , relentless fab . Had good luck with 2 of them . Relentless my order got lost but he sent out a new one ASAP . Then it didn't come with the $80 worth of grade 8 hardware . Shit happens . I'd be pissed if I was on that light buy .

Soooo i got schooled today by the lovely (at least lovely in her helpfulness) Serena at Super Duty HQ that the backspacing specs from Icon are in fact a maximum! I get to keep my black TRD rims! I don't have to shell out another 800-1000 for new rims yay! Got my hi lift and hi lift recovery kit today, my LCA skids/bumpstops/spanner wrench are in transit, my IFS skid is getting powdercoated and will then be on its way, and my stage 4 set up should be departing sometime tomorrow.
