Km2's look mean. But so do duratracs. I vote duratracs unless the 4runner will be your dedicated trail rig.

 

What happened to the Duratracs? I thought they were fairly new?

First time I looked at buying NEW tires in almost 2 years Miguel.. You lose.

 

Nothing, just nearing the end of their useful life.

Pizza cutters are nice, but because I'm going pretty tall with my truck, I'd prefer to have a wider tire tread for stability. On the other hand,
MPG LOL

 

I really like the 265/75 km2s. They look incredible! Jdkilroy has those and they are awesome.

I think the Duratracs are better for snow and rocks though...

 

You don't need load range D and or E I'd try to find a P or C

I'm curious what stability you're gaining with wider tread? The narrow tires will drive better, give you better MPG and still perform well off road. Wider tires on the road will wander a lot more than a narrow tire. The sidewall height won't be an issue, look at big rigs, they have huge sidewalls and narrow tires. A narrow off road tire will likely be a high load range tire so the sidewalls will be pretty stiff. I'm only talking like a 245 or 255 series tire also. I can't see running anything narrower on the wheels you have.

 

And let all of us borrow the new goodies too!

 

I'd be happy with 265's or 255's but they don't make 33s for 17" wheels that narrow typically.

I just feel a wider tire while off camber would increase stability, but I think I'm pulling that knowledge out of my ass haha

 

Wide tires also suck in the snow and mud. Why do you think the military jeeps, deuces and hummers (non sand) have skinny tires? I'm going skinny because I want mpg and skinny is better. A tire is like a girl. Wide=bad Skinny=good

I won't increase stability of camber is your aired down you'll flop the tire more. Idfk small lift and wide axles are for stability.

Also 265 and 255 is stock size on first gens. Look into 15 or 16 inch wheels.

 

Alex, I had 60's on my old Camaro and that thing couldn't stay in a straight line when the first bit of rain or snow entered the picture. I bought some normal sized steelies and tires for the winter and never had an issue with it again, unless I was trying to do donuts or something.

Although wide tires are awesome when the snow is deep, they float on top better

Meh, the wet heavy snow we get here you're not going to float. Out west yes, here no.
