By that logic, I don't think the draft should start until you're 21 then. I don't see how the government can see it fit to throw a rifle at you and ship you off to war but yet you're still deemed too irresponsible to have a beer.

 

Yup..when I was 28 I stopped drinking and shortly realized I was lucky to have survived the things I did.

 

I love it when people do that... I usually return the favor and call them at 5:00 when I get up to go to work and continue to call them at 30 minute intervals until about 7 - 8:00 AM. Funny thing, none of my friends drunk dial me anymore

 

If you are military you are allowed to drink under 21..not sure if that's just on base or how it works but my nephew enlisted when he was under 21.

 

One guy called me around midnight with some dumb question that he should have known or been able to find on the rules sheet in his captain's kit..and had been a capt for nearly 20 years. That didn't bother me b/c I tell people if it's really that important call me up till 1am. What got me was when I woke up and answered the phone and this asshole yells at me to wake my ass up. I told him it better be important and he asked me something that was clearly not important and that I already went over with him the week before. I gave him the answer and then told him next time he calls me and barks at me to wake up he will get his neck squeezed.

 

Every since I can remember, I have normally gone to bed at 9:30 (unless out at a party or something). All through highschool, I was the lame guy that wanted to head home to bed because we had class the next morning; all through college people busted my nuts because I gladly took any 8 AM class but went to bed at 9:30 (unless a friday or saturday night). In summary, people know I am in bed by 10 at the latest.

I still every now and then get someone who calls me at 11:30 on a weekday night, but I put my phone on silent so it doesn't wake me. I always return the call a few times at 5:30 in the morning. I get a return call around noon with a "what the fuck man? Why did you call me at 5:30 in the morning?"

The biggest issue I have with my friends is that they can all sleep in until 12 or 1 PM without an issue. I am at a point now where regardless of when I go to bed, I can't sleep in past 6:30. When I want to hangout with people, I suggest a meet time of 10 AM or so and always get the "yeah, not a fucking chance" look back. Yet they get pissed when I want to head home around 9 to start winding down. Now that some of them are wearing their big boy pants and getting a job, they are starting to get an understanding of what I deal with.

 

Depends what I'm doing/have to do...Fridays I sometimes crash way early, just from the week's fun and games plus usually an early start to my Saturday. If I go to a concert or RHPS I know it will be a late night though.

And yeah, it's funny how that R word (responsibility) can do that right?
