That thing looks pretty sweet! You could make that work!

 

I really want the ability to take off the upper section like the Rugged Ridge one, it is dope. I also think it would not only look awesome but improve performance also even when in stubby form, a little forced induction

 

I don't see it on the inspection report I have in front of me.

 

But that would be tough to add to a Tacoma since we don't have the little shelf between the hood and the windshield that the Wrangler has.

There have been 'home made' snorkels that route the intake into the cabin and another one where the intake was routed into the plenum under the windsheld cowl.

 

I believe the only way you can fail is if you actually have the light on. I'll find out for sure this summer since the wheels I have now don't have TPMS sensors in them and the light has been in for a while now.

I think the mentality is, if the vehicle was built with a 'safety feature', it has to remain operational. Notice I put 'safety feature' in quotes but I absolutely will not agree that a dummy light is anything more than just that, a light for dummys

 

I agree that the size of the wrangler cowl is key for that set up. Just hoping

Just talked to Rugged Ridge, it was like being a cold war spy calling the enemy. I asked if they had anything in development for Toyota, no luck, strictly Jeep. Douchers

Anybody else here from northwestern CT? I found some pretty fun trials last night but not terribly long but they are defiantly fun. They are in the Tunxis State Forest would like to do some exploring with someone who knows how to off road better than I do.

Meh... in stock form, it's the same V6 that your Tacoma has. I don't know how much fun you're really going to have with it.

 

Dunno, it was in the back of the lot. All I can tell you is that it's black without looking at it more closely.
