Yup. I had a ton of fun on mine but it just grew uncomfortable for me.

This was mine. As you can see, it was kind of cramped for my 6 foot 5 self.

I have a SV650 and love it. I'm only 5'6 so I don't look awkward on it like Erik.

Not seeing the relationship between a dirt bike and an SV :notsure:

I'm 2" shorter and my legs are the same way more than planted on the ground but when I'm riding they don't bother me at all I'm 160 too lol.

Mike, it's not a dirt bike lmao I think the SV handles well like a SV the Torque is awesome and they way it feels is like something I haven't felt. Reminds me of a buell

Are you getting rid of your XR or keeping that for trail riding?

I know the SV isn't a dirt bike, that's why I was confused. I know it's got 2 wheels but that's about all it's got in common with an off road bike

It has a V-twin which is all torque, similar to the motors on dirtbikes. It is also very easily thrown around in corners much like a dirtbike. Therefore, it has been referred to by multiple magazines and riders and a street dirtbike on crack.

Ah, I see. So it's like a dirt bike, just different :D

I've always been a fan of large displacement V-twin sport bikes. They just sound soo mean!

Are you u nuts?!? My bike isn't going anyplace. I Just got off it. I will have to look into these a ton more. I loved it thing is snappy and is a loud mouth had twin bros on it for exhaust. I got on it pulling out on to rt1 and held it open what a rush. I got back and the sales man said "we heard your entire ride...seems like you enjoyed it" me "yea I love the bike, defiantly going to have to think about this one" only $4500 at 18k miles

Dave, just saw this post. The bike is for sale, I've had it on craigslist for a couple weeks now. The sale price is high because I'd rather trade it than sell it. I want a dual sport.

One guy wanted to trade me his 2001 BMW F650GS for my bike. I did some research and declined. Apparently, the front tire likes to randomly fall off those bikes...

    Damn man, sorry to hear.

Word of advise, don't buy a bike when you're down in the dumps and don't ride angry or upset! Even a 'slow' bike can get you into a lot of trouble in a hurry!

Well I need to pay my debts off anyway. It won't be for a while.

I just left work after 30 minutes because I can't handle anything right now.

Who would have known a minute of stupidity would throw away a year of happiness? It fucking sucks

I know it sucks to hear this, but you'll get over her and find another one. Even though you act old, you are still young.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Lift and armor your truck. How many times have you been hit or near-missed because someone didn't see you in a full size vehicle? There are far too many fucking idiots on the road to safely ride a bike. It's one thing to get on a bike and kill yourself because you were going 120 down RT 1A, it's another thing to be riding safely and get run over by some bitch because she had to send a text.

Stupid people have ruined motorcycles for motorcyclists.

Good advice. Tough to hear, but true.

Amen to that. Been sideswiped twice in my truck and its the reason I'm selling the bike.

Yeah, what year is that? 18k miles is a lot (can do many more). I got my 2003 SV650S for $3200 about 5 years ago. So that price may be high.

I've been debating the same. Too many idiots on the road, to the point that I was revving the engine a little higher just so people would hear me. And it's already loud from the Two Brothers Racing pipe.
