So just call out from work and head to the track :) Totally worth it. This might be the last time that these cars are going to be running at this track ever. They have been running here for 10 years and next year the 2 US based sports car series (ALMS & Grand-am) are merging together along with merging their 2 different racing calenders. Hopefully Lime Rock will stay on the calender. The Audi diesels will no longer be running after this year also. They will only be doing the World racing series races after the merger. Sebring and Petite Le Mans are the only stops in the USA so far.

The Grand-am series ( 24 hours of Daytona cars ) also run at lime rock later in the year sept. 28 and that is the last race of the year for them. You should try to take that day off now while its a few months out. Ill be there for sure.
I took these days off months ago,I setup all the races that I will be going to for the year and put in the time off in January ever year so that im sure to get them off. Ive got 6 races planned for 2013 :)

Ya it is even crazier looking in person. The front tires are only 4" wide slicks :) It is so quiet on the track also since it is only running a 1.9 liter turbo.
    Awesome car though.

    http://www.deltawingracing.com/tech-specs/

You get to see so many awesome cars in the parking and corral areas too. Ferrari fans bring their ferraris, Corvette fans bring corvettes, Porsche fans bring porsches, and everything in between. It is a car show in itself.

For you guys that got the bolt on BAMF sliders, they do hold the weight of the truck just fine :D rear tire is about 1/4" off the ground
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372967605.188188.jpg

Measured my downtravel, 6 1/4" for the rear and 1 3/8" for the front  i will try again without the sway bar on to see how much difference it makes. Might pull the sway bar for wheeling anyway and see how i like it.

I've been contemplating the sway bar removal also but my 25 mile commute on the highway doin 70+ is holding me back. Haven't heard anything bad from the guys who run without. Would like to hear your opinion if you do it........

Chris (yotalover) is a anti-swaybar advocate lol, he has only good things to say about removing it. I have the same worries as you though. The state is repaving 95 where i live so the lanes are different heights and there is about a 1" drop off of pavement to the shoulder. When my 285s grab that little ledge it pulls the truck to the side pretty quick and i get a little swervy re-correcting. Having no sway bar might make that a little dangerous.

I think i will. Hopefully i will gain a little more downtravel (not really sure) i am hoping to get at least 3" of downtravel up front when i install the ext. travel icons. I might end up going with a little less lift up front and a little more trimmig

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I don't miss it, but I'm pretty stiff with 886s and top plate spacers. You just need to remember its gone. I've noticed when my truck grabs a rut or a deep puddle it's behavior isn't much different than stock.

I have the relentless base. Its probably 3 times bigger than the base the hi-lift comes with. Still scary though. Have fun drilling the frame :frusty: eithet buy really good drill bits or extra ones. I broke one step bit and smoked the other.

I want the curved piece to fit the slider. Seems necessary to lift it on the side to avoid slippage

Just bought a drill doctor in anticipation of dulling some bits... I thought the AP slides were designed to hit a majority of pre-existing holes on the frame (or maybe that was just a dream)

Im not sure, the bamf sliders use factory 4 holes in the sides of the frames, but you have to drill 3 holes on each side on the bottom of the frame.

OOh yea there are 4 tapered allen screws per slider that will be going into the bottom surface those are likely drilled holes--super. Well the drill doctor will be here tomorrow so I'll be sharpening bits while Dave's got my rig.
