bad breaker or an intermittent short. does it do it with absolutely nothing plugged in on the circuit?

Turn off main power and remove breaker - look at bus bar to see if it is corroded or if the terminals on the breaker are weak. Check and see if any other outlets in the house go out when the breaker is popped. I ran into this issue on my house when we first moved in, two outlets in the living room are tied into the kitchen series and the other two living room outlets and one of the upstairs bedrooms are tied together.

Remove the suspect outlet and see if it is backstabbed or if the wire is wrapped around the terminal screws (always use terminals, backstabs will fail at some inconvenient time).

12v systems I can do but a house I know nothing about these systems. I'm afraid of the high volts. Even if off I don't trust.

I used to think the same thing, but 120v is fairly easy.

Like they mentioned above, check the breaker and outlet.

If your house is wired like my house your garage and another random room are tied together. So you might not have something plugged in in the garage, but there maybe another outlet in the house causing an issue

That's worthy of a WTF, you don't deserve to own that Corvette! Who tows with a classic Corvette?!?! That person deserves a swift kick in the nuts

Dave, pick up a circuit tester so you can make sure the outlet isn't hot before doing any work. They are cheap and pretty fool proof. Just check it on a known hot outlet to confirm that it works, then check the outlet you just turned off. 120V work is actually really easy, much simplier than working with the braided wire from a vehicle.

I'm gonna on break. I'm having driveshaft issues. Got 4mpg city 6 highway lol. Rear shaft let go in a different spot I think I need a 1 piece shaft welding the caps to the straps and yoke.

It could easily be a replica. Still a bit kooky, but maybe that's the point.

With your Tacoma being NEW why not go back to IRA's shop,Get it done right with oem parts PLUS they should stand behind everything when and if you trade it....the "Custom shop" down the street may have a better rep but might not be there 5-7 years down the road..;)

That section of road SUCKS and is always BUSY....Continental pave their section yet after Merchants or is that still "bob & weave" over partial trenches ???We are doing site work at GE , Hooksett and I hate that ride..

Good luck getting your Tacoma back to NEW...

if your paying to get it fixed I would get an all pro rear bumper. Probably comperable in price as a new OEM. If you ever bump it or drop something heavy from the bed it won't be damaged again. Just a thought.

Yeah, road is still a bag of ass from that intersection back to Jiffy Lube now. I used to be able to avoid it when I lived in Dover, I would do 28 to Auburn RD to 101. Now I live back on this side of the state and get to 93S that way.

I will be looking into bringing it to Ira. Dealerships always make me nervous. I have never ever gotten any work done at a dealership, ever.

I work just across the street from where you are doing site work at GE then. Down behind Outdoor World at Pro Con.

I will not be paying a dime. The gentleman who ass raped the Sebring will be picking up the tab. Well, his insurance will, he will see a nice increase next year.

Icing on the cake was the guy in the Sebring got out on crutches. Just had knee surgery Tuesday. His knee was in pain all of a sudden again.

Ha! Good point, Maine is probably the free-est NE state. What about Vermont?

Mike, the worse 495 gets every day on what should be a slipstream commute makes me think about moving to Phoenix (awesome awesome laid-back area) or freaking Montana. I-495, when I was a younger driver, was a cake walk. And now traffic stops at 126 going north, and sometimes I see a Statie just sitting there making all of the stupid idiots slam their breaks on to get their speed down to 45. That is retarded. Mass highways suck.
