Can you sit on the LR until November? Should have the scratch set aide by then.

You selling both off? That's a good deal on the LR UCAs. Cheaper than I've ever seen them for brand new.

That's an incredible deal, and I need them. Maybe I'll go rob a bank.

I had 5 Wrangler Silent Armor tires installed today.

For FREE to anyone who is willing to come and get them, I have 4 of the OE P245/75R16 Dunlop Grandtrek AT-20 tires (not mounted on wheels) with about 10k miles of very even tread wear, no punctures or repairs, and one zero-mile same model tire on the funky OE spare 16x7 steel wheel.

I am in Alton, NH. PM for a phone number if you are interested.

I make frequent trips to a Concord, NH, occasional trips to Manchester, and infrequent trips to Salem, NH. I would be happy to meet you on one of my trips for a handoff.

I'll be curious to see how you like the Silent Armors. Seems reviews are generally good but balancing issues seem common.

I have read reports of balancing issues, and asked the tech to let me know how well they spun during the install. One of five required more than 2 ounces of lead to balance. All 5 were nearly fresh out of the mold, with 2913 date stamps. Purchased from Tire Rack. I will probably have them rebalanced at 5000 and see if anything changes. They are P245/75R16.

What load range are they? I know a lot of tires in that size are pretty heavy. Hopefully they work out. Aside from balance issues, people seem to really like them! I was looking at a used set, almost bit, they came up on craigslist at a good price.

    NVM, you said P

I haven't bitched out of any of them... I never contacted the guy with the SA, I was just looking at them craigslist. I guess you could say I bitched out on a set of studded snows but there were misrepresented and had a lot more wear than the ad said. Most people would have done the same, they were so worn it wasn't even worth trying to talk him down, I flat out didn't even want them.

I wanted the ones Rob found, the Jeep take-offs, timing just wasn't right for that kind of purchase. Expensive times!

Yep , they are P tires, 109T. FWIW, I chose these tires because I wanted something that would be reasonably good in the snow without being a true, directional-tread, dedicated winter tire. In the top brands, there are very few non-directional severe snow-rated tires with the mountain/snowflake logo on them. Goodyear offers the Silent Armor and Duratrac, and the Silent armor has the least aggressive tread design of the two. I have had Wranglers in the past, and found them to generally have softer than average rubber with relatively short life, and they get very noisy when they approach about 50% tread wear. Hopefully, Goodyear has learned something in the past 20 years and these won't be quite as bad, but I'm not counting on it.

    Mike

P.S. I have received 2 responses for the free tires. The first responder will get the first crack at them, and I'll move down the list until they are gone.
