I work on diesels all day long up to 80 hours a week. Cummins 4-6BT 6BT & 12BT, International 7.3TD and 7.IDI, CAT, and Ford Power Strokes 7.3, 6.0-4-7 (often) now from others not knowing a lot maybe billy. But if you want a good Diesel engine in a truck you want a new cummins. If you know some cummins nightmares. But you want TQ. Anyways it'll be cost effective in a cheap truck. Toyota won't bring the diesel here. Rip that junk 4.0 out and swap in a mechanical diesel. It's been slow but TQ down low. Any MECHANICAL diesel that well run standalone you can advance adapter the TDI to your transmission of choice.

Yup... A 4BTA with an inline pump would be awesome. Mated to a built auto that could handle the torque and a low stall converter would make a fairly quick truck that would tow a nice load. Prior to my 13 DCSB, I had a 96 Cummins pushing quite a bit of fuel through it. Damn fast truck - just couldn't keep a tranny in it. I won't tell you how many it had but it ate more than a few. Last straw was snapping the input on an already built tranny less than 3 years old.

Well today is a shitty day up in NH! Perfect day to wash my truck then move it inside the garage (omgzzzz I has garage!!!!) and clay bar, polish, and wax!!

Which steps in which order though? I know you wash first. What's next, clay bar or polish? I know wax is last obviously

Nope, only ended up replacing 1 u-joint. I had 3 but the first one actually didn't fit. We figured we shouldn't press our luck so we only replaced the one that had to come out to replace the CB. Vibrations are GONE!! :yay:

Climbed up on the roof to dry and wax it. Found a HUGE crack in the paint.

Gonna sand and paint it to hopefully prevent further cracking and chipping.

Plate bumpers ftw when cleaning the hood of a lifted truck.

Clay bar complete! God that paint was NASTY dirty! It's now half polished and I just need to wax it after!

I sanded and touched up the crack in the roof. Made sure there was no rust under there. Primer then Toyota touch up paint.
