I am a dispatcher for a police department. we actually dispatch for close to thirty different towns, over 40 different agencies, throughout NH and VT. Police, fire, and EMS.

Lol, that depends entirely on how far North you live in it;)
Lots of people around here consider New England to be ME, NH, VT, and MAYBE MA.
The true definition of New England includes Rhode Island and Connecticut too.

I think it's more because you refuse to believe anything beyond your scope of experience, and anybody who tells you otherwise has to be either an idiot or lying.
Part of that's being 23. I talked a lot of shit when I was 23, even though most of it was sourced from either my left or right asscheek. That's something you grow out of, typically, because the more stuff you experience the more stuff you realize you don't know crap about. Life is exponential like that; an 18-year old knows everything about everything, while an 80-year-old knows he doesn't know much about much.

I'm not talking shit though. You guys are being complete fuckbags all over what I do for work. its not just a secretary. cops don't waste your tax money on vehicles they don't need. It's hard to try to explain it to people who don't give a fuck about listening, and are just going to insult you anyways. it fucking pisses me off.

Generally speaking, I think the difference here is that LEO's are funded by taxpayers. Let's face it, the taxpayer funded professions probably hear more shit than non-tax funded about things seen as excessive, since the people ultimately pay for it.

I can't speak to that kind of a rig, but I've seen plenty of government vehicles jettisoned at around 20K miles and 3-4 yrs old. Among other agencies, the DEA and Secret Service. I've attended car auctions held by the government for over 30 years now, so I'm not pulling this out of my arse..I've seen it with my own 2 eyes for my whole life.

This is what I would say, the 6 states. Our New England plans that we have allow care in any of those 6, for instance.

Police Agencies DO waste people's money. They do it all the time.
And no matter what you think, there's ABSOLUTELY no need for a Oxford ME to have a $650,000 APC. The population of the entire COUNTY is less than 60k people. By comparison, Boston has roughly 635k. And yet they have one. Why? Because it was "free"
Except it wasn't because tax dollars paid for it.
THAT'S what people were saying. Then you picked a fight about it, called them all idiots and liars who didn't know crap, and it dissolved from there.

I wasn't lying. either those vehicles get thrown out, or go to a police department for free, since normal people cant have them. in my opinion, it was free, and if something happens which causes use for that vehicle ONE time, you got your money's worth. All difference in opinion I guess, so Ill shut the fuck up, and let you guys run your mouths. thanks. I'm just a 23 year old secretary who doesn't know anything anyways...

What thread are you reading? I did nothing to insult the LEO profession and actually never even said the armored trucks were a waste of money prior to your post. What I said was, no one knew they had that kind of equipment and it all looked new. Any way you cut it, it costs money to own and maintain that sort of equipment and the tax payers are footing the bill. I don't believe that there is a need for local enforcement to have that kind of equipment, my opinion, deal with it. I have the upmost respect for law enforcement and have said nothing to contrary. You just jumped in, saw a post about law enforcement and got your panties in a bunch. People can say whatever they want about engineers, we have much worse stereotypes about use than LEOs, I just don't get bent out of shape any time someone comes near one. You're also the last person to talk to anyone about insults. You're the one spouting off direct personal attacks so cry my a fucking river. No one made fun of, mocked or insulted the LEO profession, get over yourself.
