    WOW,

Great afternoon of soccer with our girls ( 8-9 year olds) with their final outdoor game...

But I had a 1st happen today ; after 23 years of coaching ( yes I am that old ..puppies :p ) the opposing coach made a rude remark and I quitely reminded him they are 8 year olds; he then called me Popeye ....our other assistant coach quickly stepped towards me BUT he found me laughing instead of reacting.....POPEYE :D....best part, our girls quickly reacted to this and played that much harder...I learned an important lesson from my girls....they do SEE everything we do and react in kind..

I'm quietly humbled by eleven 8-9 year olds...

Ok, back to my pre-planning for Florida..permanent move is on "hold" as Con just "nailed" a few good contracts BUT we will be gone for 3-4 weeks and I am trying to put a Big Cypress visit in there somehow...

watch out on the roads today. if it hadn't been for some quick reactions on my end I could have been in two very bad accidents. People merging right into me without checking if I was there... hard to believe they couldn't see my truck. safely in atgi fridays getting lunch.

I hate to travel this time of year. With all of the shopping and family events, everybody is in a hurry and often on unfamiliar roads. I had one last November where a minivan made a left turn out of a side road into 55 MPH traffic, and directly in front of our Prius with the whole family on board. I don't know how I missed t-boning him. My response was purely instinctive. Never scrimp on tires...

both instances happened so quickly I didn't have time to lay on the horn... spooky out there. I'm a little apprehensive about getting back on the road...

Paint it bright yellow, you'll be surprised how many more people don't see it. I know this from experience.

Cleaning house today. Summer clothes getting put away and cold weather gear coming out. Dusting off my snowboarding gear, can't fucking wait to get on the mountain! Hopefully its a slow winter for work and i can go alot. A local mountain (hill) is re-opening about 30 minutes from me, they shut down my senior year in high school, 05. i used to go at least 3 times a week.

Replaced both front calipers with some vatozone ones. The copper sealing washers for the banjo bolt that came with them are a lot thicker than the ones that were on there. Weird.
