Awesome. I think when I order sliders they will have to be from him. His customer service is awesome.

I picked up my supplies to wire the generator circuit. #6 wire for the inside run and #8 for the outside cord. Water tight box and cord ends

Awesome. That is the next thing on the home improvement list. Fortunately we didn't lose power last year, but if we do we would be sol. Oil heat and electric stove. I think we are going to get a propane stove soon too since shan hates the electric stove, and if the power goes out we could still cook. Be nice to also plumb in a gas fireplace for ambiance, heating, and sexy time.

The gas fireplace is on the list also. She wants one down in basement set into the fireplace. It is an easy pipe run from existing pipe to fireplace

I will run a new dpst breaker for the circuit. It will run, unfortunatly from one side of my house to the other, about 70'. It will exit the house next to one of the garage doors. It will have a male plug mounted in the weather tight box. This way I am using a regular cord. It is against code to have a double male cord.. I am going without the transfer switch so when the time comes to use the generator, I will have to shut off the main 200 amp breaker and turn on the new 30 amp generator breaker. My main need is furnace and fridge but it is big enough to run more so I will make a list of which breakers stay on and which get turned off. It is big enough I may be able to run the entire top floor and the furnace

Anyone know how much landscapers charge to just come by and suck up piles of leaves?

Strongly debating between blowing them into the state forest next door or doing less work

Made a big pile for one of the parts of my yard. Really tempted to just dump a little gas and drop this sucker on it

I'll have to get a tarp lol.

Our town is stupid for burning. You need a permit and burn season is only like 3 weeks long. We had a galvanized burn bucket but we got rid of it

We need to call the FD just to let them know. I started with a 55 gallon drum but I end just burning a pile. Right now it is prob 7' high and 12' across. It will compact as winter goes along and I will be burning in February or March
